Virgin matched public mobile promo plan, I believe it expires on the 21st. It's in BC and AB only so if you don't see if online double check your province. It's per month and not 120 days like public and you can go in store.

Hahah, dang it, I just switched from Virgin. Snooze you lose, I guess
**Just read it is new activation only, so it wouldn't have mattered.

Thanks.
Was going to add another Koodo Sask plan line for my daughter, but this is much better suited (and 8 dollars cheaper) for her.

I signed up for this about a week or two ago after I saw this thread, as I was out of a phone for a few months. Haven't had any problems at all, and I'm paying less than half of what I paid with Rogers and I'm getting like 8x the data I did with them.

Got SIMs for my wife and I, they arrived today. Looking forward to getting it set up, will be saving a ton over Rogers. My wife feels a bit bad about leaving Rogers after 14+ years but they've taken more than enough of our cash.

So much this. I can't feel bad for Canadian telcos that have been pounding us for years.

Just to save everyone some time. If you are trying to activate the deal price doesn't show up on the home page. If you go through the Activate SIM link and go through the setup the deal is still there. I also had issues with IE but Chrome worked fine.

Did you have to create a separate account for each SIM or were you able to do both under one?

I'm setting things up this weekend, from what I have read there should be no problem setting both up on one account. I may set my wife up separate if I need to to get the $1 a discount for a "referral". We both have Visa Debit cards on the same bank account so it would all get paid the same whether we have one account or two. (PM taking Visa Debit is a nice bonus)

FYI Fido is now matching.
http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/carrier...public-mobile/
• Unlimited province-wide minutes
• 4GB Data
• Unlimited text, picture and video messages from Canada to Canadian, US and International wireless numbers
• Call Display
• Circle Calling
• Call Waiting
• Mini Voicemail
• Offer available until November 21, 2016
Still not as good a deal as PM $38/4GB as there are no pre-pay/referral/community/loyalty discounts though but is available for everyone still who couldn't get in on the PM sims while they were still shipping.

Interesting.....so first Virgin and now Fido. I wonder if the big companies are beginning to notice a large bleed off of customers?

Fido's looks to be for existing customers only. So yeah, putting a tourniquet on that bleeding.

Friend switched from Rogers to Fido so it is not for existing customers only. I think?

Have a phone with Bell; called and asked about Virgin deal. They won't match. The "best" they could do was almost an insult of an offer, and we've been with them for quite a while. I'll likely be switching.

Missed out on the Public Mobile plan. I am on Rogers right now and mulling switching to Virgin Mobile or Fido. Anyone know how Virgin Mobile and/or Fido compare with Rogers in terms of coverage/service?

Yeah, this made me laugh in talking to Bell. In trying to tell me why I should stay with Bell (aka we won't match their deal), he tried to tell me that Virgin would be limited because it uses the Bell network....

Have been waiting for Fido live chat for 40 min trying to get my wife switched over to the matched deal... Maybe they're overrun with people today, because normally its pretty fast.
