It looks like they changed the Raymond goal and have given it to Byron.
You know how they say you only need to watch the last 5 minutes of a basketball game, well with the Flames you only need to watch the third period.

What a great game to be at... for the 3rd period. This flames team is nuts in the 3rd and the whole dome was pumped.
The first 2 period were terrible though, worse hockey than I had seen in their losing streak this year.

You and i watched different games then, the flames were the better team from start to finish.

As I said we must have watched different games. While the Oilers may have held the lead, at no point did they control the play.

The Oilers had the Flames on the ropes after the 2nd goal in the first. That was the only time I thought they had the Flames number. After that it was basically all Calgary.

Huh. Bouma is actually our 5th forward in points right now.
Of course that has a lot to do with all the injuries, as Backlund, Colborne, Jooris and Jones all have more points per game, but still. He's been really stepping up with the depth scoring. 4th forward in ES goals.
Just a really valuable player right now.

Maybe it's just that no team can play like that for 60 minutes, but if the Flames ever figure out how to consistently play like they do in the third for entire games, not only will they make the playoffs, but they'll make some noise.

If they'd play every period like the 3rd period, IIRC they'd have something like 190 GF and 100 GA at this point. I think it's fair to say that's an unrealistic expectation

No team dominates for 60 minutes, it's impossible to do unless the other team simply doesn't try.
The fact that the Flames can consistently dominate every third period is crazy and awesome. We should be celebrating that fact instead of silly whining about only playing 20 minutes.
(not saying you were)

Beauty couple of scraps in the first period. Aulie had to answer the bell for the Stajan hit, but too bad it wasn't a better scrap. It was nice to see the Battle of Alberta actually have a good battle. Great game, and the Flames third period success continues.

Bouma looks and plays like a Hockey player should.
Any scoring from him is a bonus, as that is not his job. He's the type of player you win with.
