Seeing an elite Cup contender like the Hawks on the brink of being swept makes me feel a whole lot better about the Flames' situation.

So it seems. But these things are bound to come to an end eventually. I think that could happen for the Capitals this year.

The Predators are playing hang on now. Josi's second period goal could be it and Rinne gets his third shutout of the series. The shots are 22-21 in favour of the Predators.

The Habs and Rangers are in overtime again!

That seemed inevitable. Rangers took over OT.

perhaps one of the greatest upsets in NHL history if NSH hangs on for the win

Preds over Hawks? I wouldn't consider it the greatest upset in NHL history or even close. The sweep is extremely surprising but Preds have a some big and skilled forwards and the only real question was much like the Flames in if the goaltending would be good or bad. Goaltending has been great and they have proven to be a handful for a Hawks team that has possibly lost a bit of the hunger it takes to win in the playoffs.

The 2002 Ducks sweeping the Red Wings when Babcock coached Anaheim is equivalent in shock value. I think many playoff pool participants are out of the running.

Hard to feel too awful when Chicago loses in the same amount of games as you.

Strange year, strange playoffs.

Hopefully the Oilers and Habs get their daggers, then the bad feelings become even less.
