Default Globalfest - Free viewing

Anyone know the best spot to see the fireworks from Globalfest for free?

I think I saw a legacy post on this from a couple years ago but wanted to re-ask the question.

Have a whack of kids with us if that comes into play.

Thanks in advance!

It's well worth attending with a paid ticket. The part of the fireworks show that is on the water and the music create a far better experience than watching far away for free.

Get the tickets and go! Fireworks and the music go together.

While I agree in not being cheap, GlobalFest is hardly a frugal matter, not to mention the logistics of operating a Gaggle of Children from wherever the hell you have to park, feeding them, keeping them from drowning or becoming victims of stray incendiaries...there are lots of logistical issues that some people are just unwilling to pay for.

Then what if you have to pile them into a pitiful and ill-maintained Dodge Caravan as opposed to a pristine Toyota Sienna?

Child Services could be called at any moment.

You're better off using the children as some form of gang and robbing the elderly and infirm of their tickets as they gradually approach the gate, beat them there and then blend into the crowd.

I've never done it, but I have it on good authority that it works well.

Buy tickets, support the event so it continues.

Watching from afar, I don't see the appeal. The best part of the fireworks is the sync with the music.

I used to live in the area and could watch them for free from home. The first time I got a ticket and went to the actual event, I realized that I was missing a lot and it was a much better experience. The only drawback to going was the crowds leaving (on foot and by car).

Psh, you go VIP, get the food, drink, smooze. And get a better view than all the peasants. Oh, and fancy pants transport right after the show to separate parking that gets you out before everybody else.
