Always liked Cullen. He's too old for the Flames now, but years ago I was always hoping we would sign or trade for him. Just a quality player.

They were obviously waiting on the Dry-Saddle numbers to get this one finalized

He's from the MIN area though is he not?

From what I recall it was always between MIN and PIT if he decided to return.

If your thought was why not go for three in a row, then I certainly agree.

Pens lose another key depth forward. No other team has lost more this offseason.

Mentioned it elsewhere once a while ago, but barring some terrible injury or something I believe he's going to be the first player to ever hit 700 points without ever having had a 50 point season. Kinda cool feat.

Thought he already signed with the Leafs?

Edit: That was Dominic Moore

I remember when the Wild got him the first time and he went on to put up 21 power play points. I wish the Flames could have gotten him. I'm glad he got to win a cup this season. One of those underrated guys I've cheered for a long time.

This is when I wanted to sign him! Although at the time I thought he signed for too much money and the Flames wouldn't be able to manage that. I think it was his first UFA season after leaving Ottawa (?)

After the Pens won the cup, wasn't the whole locker room chanting "one more year!".
Sucks.

I assumed it was a different Cullen on the Pens, that guy has been around forever. I think I picked him in a pool around 15 years ago.

Were you thinking it was 53 year old John Cullen. He played for the Pens a much longer time ago.
