Can anyone explain to me why they did this? Was there a safety issue?
Cause the Pat's used it to break Justin Tucker's bid at the consecutive FG record, the most distinguished record being challenged by the most exciting player in the NFL right now!

Also: A blocked FG attempt when the guy jumps the line shouldn't count against the streak!

I'll take the Chiefs game. I'd advise that the Dallas game be sold. The profits from selling the Cowboys/Packers/Patriots game could not only buy our tickets but cover our flights down.

I would be in if a Packers game is involved.

You might wanna take it a step further too. Rent an apartment among 8 people or whatever. Probably get one for 6-700 a month there. Then you have a place to stay year round.

I assume this is legit from a couple years back from Deadspin via ESPN:

Basically, in fitting with his oddball yet loyal ways, he travels down the coast to Palm Springs to get that cut.

Oakland will lose the A's next if they don't get they figurative and literal ####hole of a stadium fixed.

Didn't the Oakland A's actually have to veto their ability to stop the San Francisco Giants rebuilding their territory so that they could build AT&T, and now the Giants keep opposing their prospective new stadium sights? I thought I remember reading something to that.

I hear the Browns are prepared to absorb Phil Simms’s guaranteed salary if CBS will send them a draft pick.

It's the right decision for a few reasons. He's had a few back surgeries already and was always going to be one hit away from another and maybe a compromised life post football. Secondly it's pretty evident his heart wasn't into playing for another team. If the fire was still burning you would think going 3 hours to Houston would be a no-brainer seeing they are a QB away from being possibly a Super Bowl contender.

Not so sure Romo will actually retire, this forces the Cowboys to release him now because putting him on the reserve list is a non-starter since the second he comes back they get drilled on the cap. Now he's free to go anywhere, so if this was to force Jerry's hand then very well played. We're not free of Phil Simms just yet.

I must have been a good boy because Christmas came early this year. Bye bye, Phil!

I don't mind Phil Simms (but then again I'm not nearly as critical as some when it comes to analysts) and I'm not convinced Romo is going to be able to come in and instantly become a good lead analyst for the network.

Shouldn't he actually work some games before you promote him to the top team?

He is good in an interview but who knows what his analysis will be like over an entire game.

I mean FOX had a three man booth with Aikman, Buck and Collinsworth, maybe it'll be Nantz, Romo and Simms. That probably makes more sense than throwing Romo right into the number one spot alone.

Hell. Yeah. So glad he's nowhere near Denver. Best of luck with CBS my man.

Now Elway needs to fix the colossal F up he created with the whole "no LT on the roster" business.

Yeah, I'm generally pretty good with just ignoring commentators but Simms has always annoyed me.
