it´s not "puckdaddy", his boardname was "Big Daddy", so you´re almost correct

The Eckville rink was an experience. A minimally heated metal quonset with natural ice and a tractor zamboni.

I may have well been the one taking that photo, I probably was. I didnt play (since I can barely skate) but I was there behind the bench. Was a lot of fun and doesn't feel like 15 years ago or whatever it is!

Oh and I'm sure I have my Calgarypuck hat at home somewhere... Unless my mom took it to Value Village...

I'm mostly a lurker and don't post much but been here over 10 years. I'm like many of you though, this is the first site I check in the morning - such a great site. Thanks Bingo!

And I thought I would look up the Ryan's steakhouse story which is always compared to snotboy:

Perhaps.

20 years is amazing. I wonder if this forum predates other Canadian internet hockey communities.

CP scored off the first faceoff and gave the oiler guys the "I can do that whenenver I want" look. And he could have. I think I got one or two, can't remember that far back. Did we get josef "tha facking hat trick?"

this is the boxscore from the first heckle

Team Goon: Greyshep, hauled Oiler fan down for game's only penalty

I found this site back in 2007. Since then it is my No.1 site out of all. This is the place I check all day, the first thing I do in the morning is checking CP on my cell, the last thing I do in the evening before I go to sleep is the same......

But not only this site is full of Flames info, it is full of great, great people. I would not be able to meet Aeneas without CP, man who did not know me at all, still offered me literally everything in 2011, during my first stay in lovely Calgary. He welcomed me with open arms along with his family, took care of me and we are big friends since then. Aeneas was also in the Czech republic to visit me in 2014. That all happened only thanks to this awesome site. I would not be able to meet Furnaceface without CP. Another great man I met in 2011. Also he was here in Czech republic along with his wife to visit me. These huge friendships mean really much to me and I cannot thank CP enough. I met ,many, many other great people during my 2 visits to CGY in 2011 and 2014 from CP. Will not name them, because maybe I could forget some of them, but they know who I am talking about. I am talking about many, many CPers I met in restaurants, bars, at the Saddledome etc. Many CPers helped me with tickets to games etc. CP is great, awesome community, full of people with big hearts and many of you helped me a lot during my 2 stays in the lovely city of Calgary.

So I hope this site will only grow and grow. We all can be proud that we are part of this wonderful community. Cannot imagine how this place will look once we will win the Stanley Cup! And trust me, I can feel this time is nearing very fast!

So greetings from Czech republic to all of you, great CP members!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.....and of course......GO FLAMES GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, time flies. I remember lurking for a couple years before finally joining CP in Dec of 2003. Prior to that I posted for years on Fanhome fourms (which became The Insiders fourms). I believe there was a few Fanhome posters who also joined CP.

Many fantastic memories (Snotboy is legendary), lots already mentioned but here are a couple more off the top of my head:
  • Chatting after playoff games was hilarious, coordinating calls into the Fan 960 to drop "Hale Storm" on-air led to KG giving me my custom user title.
  • Starting Game threads
  • The hours I spent playing in the CPHL
  • My "Guess the movie" games
  • Wannamaker thread
  • 3 stolen extension cords!
  • Anyone who lived though the epic posts from The President aka The Prez
  • The Andrew Ference thank you thread
  • The Fireplace Arm guy lookout thread
  • Wolven calling out Bingo a troll & Jiri getting called a dirty Mexican
  • The CP Hotties and Music drafts

During the 2004 run I helped coordinate Toronto CP group meets. We had a great little group of about 25, got free food and drinks and even made the CBC National news.

On a very personal note I couldn't have dreamed of the (posts and private messages) I received after losing my daughter back in 2009. It was the most amazing sincere and heartfelt thing I will ever experience online. It helped me cope on a level no one will ever comprehend. Again, thank you to everyone in this amazing online community.

I don't post nearly as much as I used to but am still here on CP everyday.

Here is to 20 years of CP and here is to another 20

Horse-hockey!

He once stole my dinner.

He replaced it with a vastly superior meal mind you but that doesnt negate the fact that he still stole my food.

He does however have excellent taste in friends, food and beer.

Is Snowdude still around? He was my first memory of CP. He said JD confirmed a Roman Turek trade to the Rangers and got called out big time. I think JD even had to make a statement.

The RIP Scorch thread is legendary. I was laughing so hard tears rolled down my cheeks. That whole Scorch incident is hard to top.
