is this all part of the MLSE new Leafs identity, take down all the old Leaf pictures of championships, and put up a Bon Jovi banner sounds like a winner!!!!
"Bon Jovi has sold more than 600,000 tickets in its 17 appearances at the ACC, more than any band in the arena’s history."
Makes sense to me to have his name up there, even though I find it a little silly
So if, say, One Direction or Justin Bieber does a couple week sold out stint at the ACC then the Bon Jovi banner would be replaced? I really hope that happens, that would be hilarious.
Sure as long as Taking Care of Business is played every game. Harlequin could be another possibility. I guess Vancouver could have a banner for Chilliwack and Bryan Adams. Toronto could also add local band, Toronto, with Even the Score. Honeymoon Suite is another band.
Is it just me or does anyone else find this decision by the Leafs PR to be just way out there and moronic. So he has sold out the building several times. This would make sense if it was the NJ Devils, and even then it would still be silly.

Do you really think One Direction or Bieber will have the staying power to accomplish something like that? Hah.
It's obviously a big part of the arenas history so I don't really see what is so odd about it? I agree it's kind of weird but I think its justified?

"Sold out the building several times" is understating it. It's been 600 000 tickets, and the most tickets sold at the ACC by a wide margin, and something other arenas have done. Disagree with the decision, sure, but this isn't happening because he sold out ACC several times.
the nickleback banner can just say "sellouts" and won't need a number
Nickelback aren't "sellouts" since that would imply that they once made music with artistic integrity. For their entire recording career they've never made anything other than radio-friendly garbage composed specifically to appeal to lowest common denominator listeners.

They had a pretty grungy, straight edge rock sound back in the day, their music certainly became more mainstream over the years.
