That passing between Benzema and Ronaldo was filthy, sick goal but Flames loyalty wins.

The Benzema goal is faaaar nicer and it took place in meaningful competition... but Ronaldo is a little bitch so I stuck with Johnny Hockey.

I don't care how sweet a soccer goal is, soccer is crap.

I'd vote for a five-hole on the ice hockey goal over anything in soccer.

Go Johnny!

Not trying to turn this into a debate and is moreso a general comment, but this is my issue with 1v1. Some voters are gonna be heavily biased towards hockey plays, that great plays from others sports are at a disadvantage because people will favour the hockey play since it "looks better" from their perspective.

Well the issue is that only Canadians are going to be voting on a TSN poll, so obviously that's heavily biased in favor of hockey.

Now that hockey is pretty much here, you can forget about any other sport winning or even being nominated.

Soccer is most definitely not crap. If you think it is then you obviously were never a soccer kid. If you were a soccer kid, then you could never come to hate the sport. Try and sit down for any world cup match and you'll get sucked right in. It's impossible not to.

Hockey will always be my top sport, but not gonna be closed minded about other sports just cause I don't watch them. Except baseball but I've tried, and fail to see the appeal. I've come to classify it as a game, not a sport.

Anyways go Johnny go! Vote vote vote.

Disagree I played for 11 years and the terrible attitudes of the coaches made me hate the game, and I do mean hate. I can't stand the game at all anymore, won't watch it or play it ever so there goes your theory.

One year coach nearly never let me play at all because of a personal grudge, a grown man with a grudge against a teenager. Last game of the playoffs and the left winger gets injured and he is forced to put me in at which point I scored 3 goals and we won. Then afterwards he pulls me aside to chastise me and tell me all the ways I'm a terrible soccer player.

High school team the coach wouldn't let me play because I wouldn't take repeated headers from kicks from the goalie.

I've got nothing but hate for soccer, people take it way too seriously. I played hockey for 15 years and there was nothing even close to the stupidity of the adults involved with soccer.

I didn't say it was crap, I just think its a stupid sport.

That being said, I have sat through a WC game with a bunch of germans in Iraq before and got swept up in the excitement.

I always forget about that World Cup in Iraq... it set the bar high for Qatar.

Apparently it's Goo-drow.

In the future, fans can chant "Unleash the Goo!".

Or simply chant "Goooooooo" when he scores a goal.

Wait a minute....
