Hopefully Butler is the best looking Dman on the ice tonight and we leave him behind with Comeau and Nyqvuist meets us in Columbus.

6-2 Flames Butler with the hat, +4 on the night.

This Detroit team is really polarizing. After watching them play great against a very good St. Louis Blues team they went on to lose with a lopsided effort against Columbus. I think we will see a rebound from Detroit, especially at home.

However itīs pretty much a must win for Calgary and they are in desperation mode... itīs going to be a tight game.

Must win game. Detroit has no D. Past years records mean nothing.

Flames win 4-2.

Iggy gets 2.

The 'slump' is the Detroit PP, sitting at 11%

Look for at least 4 brutal calls against the Flames in the first period, including a lengthy 5 on 3, and 2 PP goals for the Wings.

However, the Flames stick with it and win 4-3

"1-3-21"

Flames may suck, but at least when they lose, they gather points.

4-2 Flames.

Flames lose 3-1 (empty net). Play well but continue to run into those hot goalies (damn our luck) and just can't bury enough goals.

PGT is filled with comments how we simply just can't catch a break and really nothing the Flames could do, simply out of their control.

This is like Mike Keenan all over again. Without the winning.

Sick of Iginla missing practice. He needs it.

Just noticed that Flames PK is at 68% and Detroit is at 71%. Dreadful, 29th and 28th in the NHL.

PP for Calgary at 24% (8th) while Detroit is 11.1% ( 26th).

goals for per game, Calgary is 15th, Detroit is 16th.

Goals against per game, Calgary is 27th, Detroit is 22nd.

5 v. 5 gf/ga. ratio Calgary is 27th and Detroit is 9th.

Bottom line...looks like Detroit really miss Lidstrom in all situations and Holmstrom as well on the PP.

Calgary really miss Cammalleri and Iginla... Totalling 3 even strength assists in 6 games.

No newsflash, but the Flames, starting tonight need their top guys to be at their best for this roadtrip or the Flames will further diminish their playoff hopes.

He's the franchise player and you're talking about practice?
