I scrolled back to last year's trade deadline on this twitter guy and he threw out all kinds of trade rumors that didn't come to fruition.

Claimed his connection was a friend in the league office. Why someone in the league office would know about trade discussions between teams is anyone's guess.

I suspect either Detroit or Vegas would have been the team to guarantee him a roster spot.

There's "some guy" named Ian S (I_TantoMD) on twitter that claims to have inside knowledge about Foo's decision making process. Take that for what you will.
