3-3 midway through the 2nd in a back amd forth game 3 that Barrie needs to win.

Andersson with 1 assist and Mangiapane with 1 assist so far.

4-3 Niagra now...come on Colts!

The Barrie Colts drop game 4 and get swept out of the OHL play offs, ending Mangiapane and Andersson's seasons.

Mangiapane finishes the play offs with 21(10 G, 11 A) points in 15 games. Tied for 5th in OHL play off scoring.

Andersson finishes with 15 points(2 g, 13 A) in 15 games. Highest scoring defencemen in the play offs, 13th OA.

Had a great season, shame that they got swept mind. Excited to see these two at the prospects camp and in the Young Stars tournament.

Hockey's Future lists Andersson as the top NHL drafted defender in the OHL this season. Nice to see such high praise/recognition of a Flames prospect, especially since he was a mid 2nd rounder.

How Andersson went so low has never made sense to me, PPG 210 lb OHL defencemen are usually a top 10-20 pick, and his main flaw (fitness) is the easiest flaw to fix in a player.

Funny, because HF still ranks him a 7.0d

Based on his size, resume, skill set, and the fact that he's a righty, he should be at least an 8.0d or 7.5B. In my mind, he's more likely to be an NHL defensemen than not, but his ceiling at the NHL level is still to be determined. I think he can be top 2.

If you only look at the draft year stats (which is a bad way to scout, obviously) you really have to wonder why Ekblad went #1 and Andersson went #53.

And I'm not saying that Ekblad shouldn't have gone #1.

I was amazed in the pre-season with how good his defensive game was. Usually that takes a lot longer than the offence to come around.

Andersson's height is all over the place:

- OHL profile: 6'0"
- HF profile: 6'2"
- Elite prospects: 6'1"
- Hockeydb: 6'0"
- Wikipedia: 6'0"

But all have his weight between 210lbs and 214lbs

Last year's draft was absolutely ridiculous in terms of quality and quantity of talent. Neither Andersson or Kylington would have hit the 20th overall pick this year, yet they went 53rd and 60th last year.

Best draft since 2003 easily. So many quality players throughout the first 4 rounds. Some of the guys that were taken in the 4th would have been a 2nd this year (Nicolas Roy for one)
