If the beer is decent I might stock up on some cans.

Haha just came in to post that deal. It's made by Big Rock. For less than a buck a beer I'd say it's worth it. I just picked some up last night. They have a gold lager, light, red, and session.

It's a great beer choice... if you have some people coming over you don't like.

has anyone used the fastferment conical products to home brew? reviews are great, philosophically the process improvements seems clever...
it would eliminate a lot of the transferring during fermentation processes when making beer if it works.

I can't comment on this specific conical product but I would say conical's are a great way to go. Acts as both primary/secondary and allows you to dump trub/collect yeast which would help with clarifying. Looks like a nice setup.

This is my new go-to, very similar in taste to Rogue Hazelnut but much more affordable

That's a super interesting beer, but I find I can't drink more than one or two at most in a sitting.

They are on my "to buy" list when I buy my grainfather and start brewing at home.
Look very handy.

Hah, it's the taste that gets me. I like it, but after two, I don't like it anymore for whatever reason.

This beer was very inconsistent for me. The first time I tried it was excellent, very reminiscent of a Granville Island Winter Ale. The second time it was extremely sour, and almost unpalatable. Haven't given it a third try yet.

Had no idea the Brentwood liquor depot had such a massive selection. Pretty impressive. Oak & Vine still cant be beat for the unique and rare selection, but the Brentwood LD has an insane number of bombers and individual bottles. And the first place I have seen with the large Chimay bottles. Awesome. My dream now is to host a dinner party and serve all of them.
Still haven't been to Craft Cellars on 32nd or that new craft store in Airdrie though- have heard they are more of the same though- All of the big BC and Alberta breweries that you can buy just about everywhere now?

Been trying a lot of the beers from Le Trou du Diable, out of Shawinigan Quebec, lately. Great distribution out west for whatever reason. Anyway, their specialty is the Belgian style like many Quebec breweries, but do have some decent pale ales. Awesome art work on the labels as well.

Damn, the Collective Arts IPA no 1 is one tasty beer. Definitely up there with some of the better west coast style canadian IPAs. Not overly bitter, but also not really malty at all if you like more balanced IPAs like Hop Circle or Red Racer. Co op seems to have really picked up distribution for this Hamilton based brewery, and I have not had a beer from them I havent liked.

Had a couple Coulee Brewing offerings last night in Lethbridge. Their Red Coat Trail Amber and the pilsner. Both good. A slight hop to both of them (34 and 38 ibu) which was good for me as I can't handle the really hoppy stuff.

My favorite right now is the Breakside IPA. I had the collective arts ransack ipa yesterday and it was pretty decent. Today I'm having a fat tug, which is a favorite.

A few places have a section of beer from Modern Times in San Diego. If you see any of those, I have yet to have a beer I didn't like from them. I'm not an IPA guy, and I like their IPAs.
