Official expansion protection lists revealed at 8:30AM MT
Full list
A few reminders:
Teams had a choice to protect 7 forwards + 3 defencemen + 1 goalie or 8 skaters + 1 goalie. Each team also had to expose 2 forwards, 1 d-man , and 1 goalie that met the minimum requirements set forth by the NHL.
The published protection lists won't include any side trades Vegas may have already agreed to. (e.g. a player that is left exposed may already be protected via a side deal with Vegas)
There is a trade/signing freeze currently in effect for the NHL. Only Vegas can make trades or sign players until Thursday.
Any trades that Vegas has made won't be made official until June 21st when Vegas' picks are revealed. Leaks may happen though, but they won't get confirmed until Wednesday.
Protection trades may still be agreed upon until Vegas has to submit its picks. Meaning that it is still possible for a team to protect extra players via a trade if they have not done so already.
With the protection lists now public, Team A can trade for a player Team B exposed via trade with Las Vegas.
Vegas has an exclusive RFA/UFA window until their picks must be submitted where they may sign any unprotected UFA/RFA. If they sign an unprotected UFA/RFA away from a team during this window, that will count as their expansion draft pick from the team.
Vegas must pick (or sign) one player off each of the 30 rosters, including a minimum of 14 forwards, nine defencemen and three goaltenders. At least 20 of these picks must be players who are under contract for the 2017-18 season.
The aggregate cap value of Vegas’s 30 picks must be 60-100 per cent of the prior season’s salary cap upper limit ($73 million).
Key Dates:
Sunday, June 18:
Protection lists released, UFA/RFA interview period opens - 10am ET
Wednesday, June 21:
Deadline for Vegas to submit its picks - 10am ET
roster unveiling 8pm ET
Thursday, June 22:
Signing moratorium, trade/waiver freeze lifted - 8am ET
TSN will have an Expansion List special live at 8:30 MT to breakdown the lists

When it came down to compiling their protection list in preparation for the upcoming NHL expansion draft, the Florida Panthers prioritized defense over offense.
As a result, according to a source, the Panthers risk losing their leading goal scorer from last season, right wing Jonathan Marchessault, 26, who tallied a career-high 30 goals (and 51 points in 75 games) in his first full NHL season.
Of the two protective list scenarios designated by the NHL, the source said that the Panthers chose the one with eight skaters and a goalie rather than seven forwards, three defenseman and a goalie.
Just as surpringly, the Panthers protected 38-year-old goalie Roberto Luongo over James Reimer, despite the age and contractual differences. Reimer, 29, is considered the heir apparent to Luongo, coming off an 18-win season, his most since 2012-13. He’s scheduled to receive $3.4 million for the next four seasons.

Would be hilarious if the delay is because on team's list didn't meet the requirements and they are drafting the punishment statement right now.

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
One name that is coming out as unprotected: DET G Petr Mrazek. With Marc-Andre Fleury going to LV, that's an interesting one.

Mrazek has completely crumbled since getting the reigns as #1 in DET
He's young so there is time for him to turn it around, but it seems like a fairly safe gamble for DET to leave him exposed.

Pierre LeBrun @PierreVLeBrun
Both Vatanen and Manson were left unprotected by the Ducks (Bieksa had to be protected). But again, belief is that Ducks have deal with VGK

Just saw a fan comment on a tweet (paraphrasing):
'we must have a deal with Vegas to protect reinhart, probably involving sending pouliot their way'

Murray - Vatanen
Methot - Demers
Schmidt - TVR
Vegas' D is going to be pretty damn good if options like that are available.
No way do I see them signing a guy like Engelland, or taking Kulak/Wotherspoon.

Wow indeed.
I wonder which 3 forwards they protected? Tavares obviously, but who would be the other two?
EDIT: NM, I see you updated....
