If Villa can manage a draw away at Salford Utd today it would make for a very interesting final few weeks. It would be something if the title ended up being decided on goal difference.

The last time anything like this happened wast 1989 with Arsenal winning the league, not on goal difference but on goals scored over Liverpool. In the Premier League goal difference is the first tie breaker with goals scored the second.

Definate contact on Young but that dive was embarrassing.

Only definite contact because Young unnaturally stuck out his left leg to ensure it was so, prior to or during his dive.

I want Utd to beat Money City to the title, but this constant #### is sickening.

?

He cuts away from him, wrongfooting him and Clark sticks his left foot across him and catches the right foot. The reaction to the contact is the sickening bit. Agree to disagree on whether or not he played for contact.

But then again you have the FA sending a message of acceptability by refusing to rescind red cards like the one handed out to Derry on the last dive.

Young's diving is sickening, and I say that as a life-long United supporter: I don't want gifts like that. I hated every single dive that Ronaldo took, and I hate the occasional dives of Rooney and Nani as well. Young has now produced two embarrassing dives in just one week. Horrible. He needs to stop doing that ASAP.

And how does Cech not get shown a red for that. What a complete joke.

Yeah, I'll concede. Played for the contact.

Can't argue with the result. Wigan had the better chances in the second half - with a bit of composure from Moses it would have been over much earlier than it was. Wigan are a better team - or certainly playing like a team much better than their league position indicates.

We on the other hand have to ask questions of ourselves and approach to the opposition when the only points dropped in 11 games are against Wigan and QPR.

Last club to beat Man U and Arsenal in successive fixtures was Southampton in 2001, the Arsenal win being the last-ever competitive match at the Dell.

^ Well that sure helped me stall on some work things this morning. And that was just goals, saves, and celebrations!

have to think the Chelsea win vs Barca on wednesday is good for Arsenal

more likely to rest players now that they will feel they have a chance to go through with the CL game on tuesday, if they had lost this week badly they probably would have gone the other way and conceded next week by going all out for tomorrow

If they are being even remotely realistic then they will probably think that they have a much better chance at finishing 4th then they do getting a result in Catalonia. They had 11 men behind the ball for huge amounts of time and defended resolutely at the Bridge which is a tight, narrow pitch. If they cede that much possession and territory to Barcelona at the Nou Camp, it wouldn't surprise me if it ends up being 5-1 on aggregate.

Having said that, I think that while no one is talking about NUFC finishing 4th, I think they just might as they are form team right now.

Seeing how Spurs have a wonderful record snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, I'm going with:

4. Newcastle
5. CFC
6. Spurs

0-0 at the Emirates. Chelsea with 8 changes.

Shows what I know. Still think NUFC will get 4th.

I hope Newcastle gets 4th. That would be awesome. I've always respected Newcastle. I hate the owner, but what a team!
