Flames name Monahan an Alternate Captain. Wideman and Russell get 'A's too.

Remind me - how do the Flames choose their captains? Does Hartley consult the players? I don't think there's a vote because I remember how Wideman got his A.

I think Hudler and Wideman split it when Glencross left town and then when Gio went down we just had 3 As. Stajan had it sometimes too.
Who fricken knows haha.

Hudler may be leaving this summer, and he took the A from Glencross IIRC.
When Gio went down the other A went to Wideman.
I like the choice, clearly he's a big leader in the room and will eventually become the captain.

Not disagreeing that Mony is a great choice, just couldn't remember the way last year went, so thank you all for the responses. If Hudler did give it to Mony purposely, then yes it does sound like something he would do.
