Default Can no immunization = No Preschool?

My wife and I are filling out the application for our son to go to pre-school.

One of the questions is "Is the child's immunizations up to date"
We circle no.
They then ask "If no, please indicate reason"

I don't want to turn this into a tinfoil hat thread at all, but I simply do not trust vaccines. If I say that, can they deny admission for our son?

OR is there a PC answer that I should be using?

Non-vaccination compromises herd immunity and I believe they can legally reject admission based on your choice to put your child and other peoples children at risk.

You don't trust vaccines? Why? You enjoy the notion that your child could one day carry a serious transmitable illness and pass it on to someone who is medically fragile?

Kids are disguting. Not only should you get them vaccinated, but I wouldn't step foot inside a preschool without full hazmat suit and oxygen tank.

Seriously though, I have nothing against personal choice, but the teachers have to think of their own health and the health of their families. Plus, the classic vaccines are pretty tried and tested.

Well at least you acknowledged that its tinfoil to distrust vaccinations, I mean the overwhelming evidence is on the side of vaccinations.

I would not want my children in a preschool with kids not vaccinated.

Circle no and for the reason indicate "Allergies" or "Personal Beliefs".

I've been doing this for my child as I also do not vaccinate and I have yet to have an issue getting them into a preschool/daycare/summer camp/school program. Never once been asked any followup questions. I believe its just on file so that if there is an outbreak of something, they basically will tell you to keep the kid at home until its over.

Cross it out and write "You claim to be a school? Sentences with poor grammar merit no response."

I know several of my wife's friends don't immunize their kids, and a few of them share our pre-school, so I bet it isn't a universal requirement.

That said, immunize your kids. Herd immunity only works if enough people get vaccinated, which isn't really a certain thing nowdays

Its really saddening to see the failure of science to communicate to the general public, and the distrust so many have towards medical science that they choose to opt out of one of the greatest medical science advancements in history.

Or maybe its just FK Jenny McCarthy!?!

As if it was even a matter of "trust".

Do you "trust" gravity?
Do you "trust" that the sun will rise in the morning?

Some things are just facts. And we have names for people who don't "trust" cold, hard, facts.

I'll leave it to your imagination what those names are, OP.

The cost/benefit analysis for vaccines is so skewed I can't believe that rates of vaccination are going down in 2013.
