LF - 4x4 SUV - <$1,000

I have a friend who needs a vehicle for $1000 or less. Must be 4 wheel drive because she has to regularly drive country roads, and they can get pretty messy in the winter and spring. A mid sized SUV would be perfect, like an older Explorer or Jimmy.
