Boris Nemtsov, opposition leader against Putin has been assassinated near the Kremlin. Recently he had been working on a report that was trying to prove Russian government was and is directly involved with the Ukraine conflict start up.

4 hours before he was killed he lead an Anti-Kremlin rally.
Conspiracy theories have popped up the Kremlin is directly linked but when the state has 100% of the media they wouldn't have too be. Putin had already labeled him a traitor to Russia.

The interview began at 8:07 p.m. on Friday — fewer than four hours before he was killed. Boris Nemtsov mainly talks about an anti-Kremlin opposition march planned for Sunday in Moscow. More than 20,000 people showed up to that march, which was repurposed as a memorial for the slain opposition leader. But while feelings of anger and grief ran strong at the funeral, few believe that the opposition – fragmented and weakened after years of relentless crackdowns – could pose a serious challenge to Putin, who is supported by 85 per cent of Russians, according to recent polls.

Kremlin critics say the virulent nationalist propaganda on state television, which cast the 55-year-old Nemtsov and other liberals as Western stooges, helped prepare the ground for his killing on Friday night.
