Why did no one tell me that you can now buy game time with gold via tokens?!
I'm set for the next 10 years!

That's either fake as hell ...
... or Blizzard has either lost their mind or has zero awareness of what's going on in their games. Guilds are struggling everywhere just to field Mythic raidgroups, they expect anyone to go to 40, even as flex? Two new classes?! 20 level expansion?
No way. Some of this might be a roadmap, but it's not the next expansion.
edit: seriously, that article. What kind of site is that? Use a ####ing spellchecker.
edit 2: the article date "By Blake on Apr 01, 2014"
God damn you Sled.

Sorry!
Someone in my guild got me with it so I thought I would share in the fun
40 man would be crazy. LFR takes at least 3 wipes usually before the stink of fail-ness washes away.

Anyone still playing at this point?
I'm keeping interested by doing tanking in addition to hunter.

Nope, stopped about 2-3 months ago, haven't missed it at all. Did enjoy the expac but really gets boring unless you are into end game and even that gets boring fast.

Game just isn't what it was. The stuff that made the game great is gone, taken out in place of making it more accessible for everyone. It wasn't noticeable at first, but the more I played the more I got sick of not seeing the same people twice.

I just logged into my account after a 3 year break. Kind of cool to buy game time with gold but it take a hell of a lot. I just can't seem to get back into this game like I used to.
I find D&D Neverwinter much more enjoyable than WoW. I really recommend it if you like WoW. Feels very much the same but has a lot more action and it's not just stand here and click 50 buttons.

The problem with WoW right now is it lacks community. You can beat the entire game (not the most difficult version, but you can kill the last boss) without so much as typing anything in chat. If you are in a guild, you are unlikely to see, much less interact with, anyone else on the outside more than once.
Private Vanilla servers provide a much more enjoyable experience than retail WoW does right now, and that's just pathetic.

This is the big issue. For all the convenience that the new features have brought, it sucked most of the fun right out of it.

Ya they seem to be following the trend of MOBA games, people just want to log in and have instant action.
I will argue that Arena is still one way that they stress community. You can use the LFG option or spam trade chat, but building relationships with competent PvPers is your best bet. In the few months I was doing arena I had added probably 20 guys to my battlenet account, many of which I still chat with even though one or neither of us are playing the game. Within the game itself there is a group or community of players who tend to all group together, it was actually pretty neat to see that.

I've floated between a few of paid and free type mmo's over the past few months trying to re-create what drew me to WoW and held me for almost 5 years. An interesting storyline and active community. I've played SWTOR, Aion, DDO Neverwinter, AoC, FFXIV, Rift and Terra.
So far I liked FFXIV the most due to the class sytem mechanics and world/graphic design, with AoC a close second.
I'll start up a new toon on Neverwinter and see where it's gone since I last played. Maybe i'll look you up.

Yeah for sure. Gamer tag is Ghanker. Got a lvl 60 rogue with almost a complete T1 set and 39 Cleric. Just joined gunslinger gamings guild. About 150ish people in the guild so always people on to play.
EDIT: Neverwinter on the xbox one

I'm still playing.
Raiding 2x a week with the guild + a PUG if I'm up for it. 15 hours a week tops.
