Bump this has been an amazing series, and this weeks episode was a constant mix of holy frack and picking my jaw off of the ground
Spoiler!
Grant Ward is Hive a formerly engineered Inhuman General created by the Kree to command their army of inhumans. But they couldn't control him so they banished him, and Hydra went looking for him.
Hive can infect and basically control other inhumans.
We saw the secret warriors in actions, I love YoYo.
Daisy has been infected and has turned against Shield. The episode ended with her destroying the Shield Base and we saw Coulson getting buried in rocks.
I know nobody liked Daisy/Skye in the first year, but she's great, and now she's going to be a villain.
Malik is dead, and he was the last head of Hydra, Daisy murdered him by crushing him with her vibration control.
Brett Dalton has done a great job playing Hive, he's creepy and emotionless and comes across as menacing.

With three episodes left, this show is just constantly hitting it out of the park now
Spoiler!
Ok to get the mushy stuff out of the way, Fitz and Simmons (Queue 70's porno music) finally cemented things.
Ok, Coulson is now on crutches as he busted his leg when the rocks fell on him when Daisy destroyed the base.
Hive upped the creepy factor when he had a conversation with Simmons and bought out the memories of Will. It was actually just such a Ward moment where he was manipulating her. But she shot him to no effect.
Daisy cornered Fitz and threatened to kill him the next time she saw him if Shield continued to pursue Hive.
It looks like Hive's plan is to gather and infect inhumans, and then change the world to a Inhuman planet.
The object that Shield got from the trailer is part of the one thing that can kill Hive, but they found the other piece and created a new Inhuman who's completely hilarious.
Hydra is gone, part of me was let down by how easy it was for Shield and Talbot to destroy the last of the Hydra structure, but then I thought it shows that Hive is just that much more of a threat then Hydra.
It looks like they grabbed a geneticist that Shield wanted and they're going to find a way to turn ordinary humans into Inhumans. We also saw in the preview for next week that the Kree are going to show up.
This show is really ramping up to an ending that I feel isn't going to be a good one, I thought that they would really kill Hive at the end of this year, but with a Inhuman's movie in a couple of years that might not happen. Plus Dalton is doing an amazing job again as a villain

Hive's experiment to turn humans into Inhumans using his blood failed, he needed live Kree blood.
So he sends a signal drawing them in. Daisy ruthlessly breaks ones back and orders it drained.
Hive killed the other one and we lean later that he ripped out its heart.
Shield goes after Hive, and get in the middle of the battle between the Kree and Inhumans.
The Kree kill Alisha the Inhuman that can copy herself.
Daisy decides that she can save her friends in Shield by converting them to inhumans. But she is confronted by Mack who tries to stop her and take her back. He disintigrates the Kree being drained to deny her the blood, Daisy declares Shield as her enemy and attempts to murder Mack. Melinda shoots Daisy and wounds her and Melinda and her team rescue Mack and barely escape.
Meanwhile Fitz and Simmons try to work on the anti-toxin to save the Inhumans from Hives parasites. Coulson decides that the anti-toxin is too dangerous to test on Lincoln but he sneaks in and injects himself with it and it strips his immune system. The anti-toxin also fails.
At the end of the episode Hive rips into Daisy about her commitment to the cause, he also blasts her because he doesn't have the fresh Kree blood to continue his experiments. Daisy mentions that she has Kree blood and tells Hive to drain her.
Overall with two episodes left the questions are
Does Hive lose this year or does this story line continue. Dalton continues to amaze as Hive.
Daisy seems to be really gone, her beatdown of Mack was extremely brutal.
With no cure for the Hive Parasite the Shield team can't put inhumans into the game.
We still don't know anymore about the vision that Daisy had of the shuttle explosion.
We saw the Hive origin, and how the Kree view him as a failed experiment.
We know that a main character is going to die, but who is it. I'm betting on one of Fitz or Simmons because they've got the whole things are looking great vibe going

Basically the season doesn't end unless FitzSimmons gets owned. As such, one of them are likely to die lol.
Spoiler!
I call the Whedon special here which is the Willow/Tara paradox.
For those Buffy Fans, Willow and Tara got back together at the end of a long estrangement. Just as things were looking happy, Tara is killed by the seasons villain, Willow goes evil, catches and pulls the skin off the villain then tries to end the worlds suffering by ending the world.
So what if Fitz is killed by Hive. Simmons invents a toxin and kills Hive, and Grant Ward who's body was healed by hive re-emerges.
Simmons then brutally tortures and kills Ward then goes after Daisy because she was a little too eager to follow Hive.

Awesome story arc they have going on. I get the feeling this will stretch into the next season with a cliff hanger.
Ward is channeling a little too much Neo from the Matrix for me, down to the black coat.
One part I don't get:
NSFW!
They've been after Kree blood. Daisy knows that she and Coulson have been treated by it. *Now* she remembers that it's coursing through her veins?
Spoiler!
that was a bit of a hole for sure, but I'm sure she didn't even think about it when Hive bought the Kree to earth. Now she's willing to make the ultimate sacrifice, but you bring up a point that I didn't think of, maybe she tells Hive to drain Coulson.

Last episode before the finale, just an amazing storyline
Spoiler!
Daisy continues to get her blood drained. Hive seizes the anarchists as test subjects. When they're changed using a virus combining crystals, Hive's DNA and Daisy's blood, they come out as enslaved deformed primatives. Hive wants more, and orders Daisy to give up all of her blood.
Daisy lies to Lincoln and tries to draw him to her and away from Shield by promising to run away with him. She talks him through escaping.
The whole Coulson showing Talbot around the base was really well done. This was the direct link to Civil War as Talbot wants to register all inhumans. He loses it when he see's that Lash is on the base.
Poor Mac takes another beat down from Lincoln, he's just not very good at fighting inhumans.
Lincoln flees in a jet to meet Daisy, Hive tells Daisy that he will meet Lincoln himself.
It turns out that it was a big deception by May, Coulson and Lincoln and that its not Lincoln, they sent Lash in his place, Shield believes that all inhuman's have a specific purpose and Lash's purpose was to kill Hive.
Hive tries to infect Lash who brushes it off and burns a huge hole in Hive's chest. he then turns his attention to Daisy who tries to defend Hive but is too weak from blood loss. Lash pulls the parasites out of her body and burns then and declares her free, but he is killed by James with a red hot chain through the chest. but Daisy does get away, we know that Hive survives. Shield realizes that Lash's actual purpose was to save Daisy, she clear of the infestation.
Meanwhile Mac who is having a crisis of faith or confidence is given a cross by Yo-Yo, its the same cross that we see in the explosion scene in Daisy's vision of the future.
We learn that Hive had stolen a missile from the ATCU and is going to use it to infect the world with the Inhuman virus reducing humanity to deformed primatives slaves.
The plusses in the episode
Coulson and Talbot bickering back and forth was awesome
The links to the Slovakian Accords and Civil War
The trap that they laid for Lash
Lash's redemption
The negatives
Hive was still good but came across as a mustache twirling villain and a little cartoony
May this year really hasn't had much of a role, and mainly walks around being really angry all the time.
The great
The fight between Lash and Hive. When Hive tried to infect him and Lash burned the parasites easily in midair we finally saw some fear.
That moment that Talbot who had been blasting Coulson about how out of control and loosey goosey shield is has to admit in the end that Hive had stolen that missile warhead.
Next weeks episode is two hours long

Not really spoilery so I took the tags off of this part. I kinda think with Daisy being as capable as she is now, they may no longer need May, so I'm kinda wondering if she dies
I also kind of expect that next week will be the last time we see Brett Dalton on the show. Hive could survive, but even if he does, I doubt they'll have him as the big bad for next season. Maybe he comes back after a sabbatical or maybe brought back by another baddie, but I assume he'll be out for a while if not permanently.

Yeah, I really liked Hive as a villain, and I just have a sense that he'll survive this thing because he's a character that they can bring back. And Dalton has been very good.
I have to admit the line from Simmons about Lash after his death "He wasn't Lash"
and May sitting by his body were so emotionally well done.
I keep thinking that next week, that cross is going to bounce from cast member to cast member until it ends up on that ship.
The people that I don't think can die
Coulson - He's really the glue in this show and the soul of it
Simmons - She's been very well utilized as a character
May - I'm iffy on this one, and I think she hasn't been developed much this year, but she's the only one that can fly the jet damnit
Daisy - This show is about her as much as its about Shield
Lincoln - Come on man, lightning bolts out of his butt
Could die
Fitz - I think he's really been pushed into the background, and killing him would be devastating for the team
Mac- Though I think the cross is a deception, is there really anything else they can do with him? He's mainly the stoic heart of the team, and killing him would rip the heart out of the team
Yoyo - Even though she hasn't been on much, she's a good character, maybe she sneaks into space to save Mac

I feel like for the sake of TV tropes, Mac will be spared. There's no other non-powered person for the viewers to relate to otherwise. Yoyo's just too new and won't have as much of an impact. Butt lightning aside (though equally valid), I think Lincoln is safe as well for the same reason as Yoyo. Just not enough impact. But all are still maybes.
I totally think May and Simmons could be on the chopping block.
I agree that the only two absolutes are Daisy and Coulson.
Damn, Emancipation was a great episode, I wish they had more time and more budget for this episode to draw out the last 10 minutes as I felt it was rushed (or budget limited).
May is a central character, along with Coulson and Daisy. Everyone else is secondary or even tertiary. For that reason I think they'll clear out a secondary character and make more time for core cast members. I'd say it's Mac that goes (and this is out there admittedly), but since this is network TV - can you really kill another black character? Black Lives Matter, even in the MCU...
Sorry Lincoln, the tribe has spoken....My guess is that Daisy feels incredible remorse and tries to sacrifice herself in the QJ to stop the warhead, but Romeo zaps her and jumps into the QJ.
As for Hive, he gets kicked into outer space Xenomorph style so he's stopped.....for now.....

I like your second part. I keep going back to Hive being a parasite.
So I would love to see in the confusion of the final fight, Ward is killed, and the final scene is some non descript agent of shield, or even someone like Mac or Yo Yo walking away with a evil smile on his or her face. Then for all of next season, we get nothing from Hive even though we know he's infiltrated Shield.

Meh, aren't we done with the hiding in plain sight / infiltration thing? (Hydra, Ward, Real Shield)? That was ST:TNG's favorite plot device, and it got tiresome once every cast member had their turn taking over the ship.

I figured this is why Hunter and Bobbi are getting their own show so they can do all the espionage/counter-espionage type stuff there, and focus on powered people in Shield. I'm kinda hoping with Dr. Strange coming in November, that they start focusing on magic in Shield! Inhumans vs. Magicians!
