They start out against the team that owns them no matter who plays in the Bulls. They go on an early six game Western swing / that should turn out well. They play 20 of their first 33 on the road. No wonder ESPN had them dropping to sixth this year. Could be a rough start but on the other hand come through it well and they could sail up to 2/3rd when the sked turns easier.

Story with @ramonashelburne soon on ESPN. Lakers are adamantly denying charges. Tampering story first reported by Peter Vecsey.

Hope the Lakers get it handed to them. Always nice to see a giant falter, so if they were involved, I hope it costs them dearly.

Cleveland and Boston have moved into serious talks on a trade centered on All-Star guard Kyrie Irving, league sources tell ESPN.

First of all Shams beat Woj by like 15 minutes. Shams wow! Second the Cavs might as well fold if they aren't getting next year's Brooklyn pick in any deal.

Has to be Brooklyn pick

Also Crowder is a great pickup for them next year

Long term obviously Kyrie, but next year in LeBron's last run in Cleveland they might have actually improved and if they got the Brooklyn pick be better set up for the future

It is indeed the Nets pick. Stunning win for the Cavs, to win the trade by far from a position of weakness is impressive. Do not get this at all for the Celtics. Kyrie has proven he's not a number one guy.

Cavaliers quite easily won the deal.

Don't see much of a difference regarding IT & Kyrie. Crowder is a solid 3&D guy for the Cavs, Zizic a young former 1st and that Nets pick which could be Bagley or MPJ.

Ainge, yikes...

Just got a notification from TSN Go that Issiah Thomas will be involve in that Irving trade talk to Boston Celtics. I sure hope it doesn't happen. I just don't like to HATE Thomas so fast. He is too good of a player to be Lebron James second-fiddle.

Deal is done lol. They've done the trade call and everything. Kyrie apparently will sign long term in Boston, so the Celtics strategy is basically hoping either Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum turns out to be the elite third piece. Otherwise adding another star means cap hell for them.

So Caboclo was having a pretty good Americup tournament for Brazil, and then just got kicked off the team for undisciplined behavior. Sounds on the surface like a spat over playing time, but damn, his skill level is tenuous enough he can't also afford to have a big ego.

^ playing in the NBA will do that for you. On one hand, it's annoying because he was so raw, but on the other hand, this shows he's confident. The question then is, how much of that raw talent has he developed, and is he putting the time in, or is it just blind confidence?

I'm not a big Derozan fan, but 36th? That's pretty unfair.

Pretty simple for him if he wants more respect. Learn to shoot a 3. Play defense occasionally. Perform in a playoff game. All up to him really.

Derozen is an idiot. I would take all of 31-35 guys ahead of him. I would take Carmelo, Embiid, Thomas, McCollum as some of the guys listed right behind him.

That's not even looking at top 30 guys who will blow him out of the water. I would like to know where he wants to be ranked.

Carmelo to OKC for Kanter, Doug McDermott and a 2018 pick. Not sure it's enough still for OKC to get past the Warriors, but the Western Conference semis with the Warriors, Spurs, Rockets and Thunder is going to be amazing.

I like it for the Knocks as well. I think Kanter is a fantastic young 5. For a rebuild, he's a good piece

Sam Presti gave up Victor Oladipo, Domantas Sabonis, Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and a second-rounder for Carmelo Anthony and Paul George. How in the hell...
