I'm so glad Boston is owning Pittsburg, I was so upset when Iggy too Pitt over Boston, I stil have hope he might consider going there next year.
I would feel sick to my stomach and happy at the same time if he managed to win a cup there in Pitt.

I honestly can't think of a reason outside of being a fan of them pre-Flames days to like this team. They are as unlikeable as any team out there and their fans (especially on CP lately) push it over the edge.
I would say LA is more complete. Better skill, much tougher and better goaltending.
And more complete or not Chicago should walk all over them if they play.

Is it just me, or is has this thread gone to the dogs?
Iginla sucks, these players suck, I could coach better than X, so and so are total ######s, this team sucks, that owner is a ######, etc, etc.
...
I don't think Pitt was ready to play in games 1 and 2. Starting at home after the longest break of the season was not to their advantage. Had they been ready, I think this series would have been a LOT closer. Further, all credit to Rask. One of the best playoff performances I have seen in a while. I think Iginla looks lost. He really doesn't seem to be gelling with his linemates and frequently seems out of position. As mentioned before, all of Pitt's changed may have been a bit too much.

moon's problem isn't that he doesn't know what he's talking about, it's that he overstates his case.
The Bruins aren't overrated, they aren't getting too much media attention, and they don't have any more luck than anyone else.
He's right, though, about their players being unlikeable (Marchand, Lucic, Thornton, Rask and, in recent years, Ferrence), them getting favorable reffing (in addition to refs generally swallowing their whistles during Bruins games, if that blatant interference was called in the 3rd period of game 7 against Toronto, they'd be sitting at home right now), their coach being a whiney d-bag (watch his rant on diving and then remember that he coaches Marchand), and their fans being the biggest jerks in hockey (the Leafs fan who got knocked out by a suckerpunch at the Garden this year was at least the 3rd Canadian fan they've put in the hospital since '08).

Yeah I gave up years ago arguing with him. It's not just hockey (Burris is an awesome QB and Tate is garbage) but all sports he gets this mindset where if he likes a player that player can do no wrong and if he doesn't like the player they can do no right ever.

Agreed. Depending on who you're talking to, I actually agree with Moon that Phaneuf has gone from being very overrated to a bit underrated. Some people (especially the CP folk) think he's no better than a 6th dman. No, he's not a top 2 dman, but he's still a solid 3rd or 4th dman. I think him and Wideman are comparable.

I would take Phaneuf over Wideman but that's a discussion for another day lol.

The Bruins do get more than their fair share of media attention for sure, just saw another "Tough as the region" or something similar article. I also think they get away with alot of non calls and have for quite awhile now. They know it too, they work with it.
