St.Louis-Crosby-Stamkos
Nash-Toews-Giroux
Staal-Richards-Bergeron
Tavares-Getzlaf-Perry

Hall, Couture

Keith-Doughty
Subban-Weber
Bouwmeester-Pieterangelo
Seabrook

Luongo

Something like that is my guess.

If they want to have guys who are used to playing the left side on the left he's got a chance because other than Keith it is wide open. The team is MUCH deeper on guys who play the right side. I wouldn't be surprised if Subban and Letang are both left home.

Kind of thought Iggy would get an invite just because, well he is iggy. A long shot at best to make the team anyway so probably easier to make that 'cut' now as opposed to under the spotlight.

Yes, the most surprising part of Eberle not being invited is that Eberle's name is on the list of players who were invited.

Kind of disrespectful not to invite iginla especially since he was instrumental in both gold medals Canada has. You could have left out Kunitz and invited him.

I have never been a fan of Eberle but the fact he is able to be invited to the camp while at the same time not being invited is pretty impressive.

I bet that Iginla hates Calgary so much now that when he found out the camp was going to be held here, he asked to not be invited.

3 of the 4 Staal brothers got an invite. How does Jared feel?

Or is it disrespectful to patronize him and waste his time if you don't plan on having him on the team.

As much as we may not like it. Kunitz may make the team just because of his proven chemistry with Sid.

I'd like to see more of a mix of styles this time... don't want to see another roster that consists 75% of centres up front. Canada has plenty of great wingers.

St. Louis has to get an invite this time... ridiculous he was left out last time.

Neal-Crosby-Perry
Hall-Stamkos-St. Louis
Benn-Toews-Giroux
Ladd-Bergeron-Marchand

EX: Tavares, Nash.

Keith-Seabrook
Doughty-Weber
Pietrangelo-Subban

Price
Crawford
Smith

Methot is invited because he's Karlsson's defensive partner and has shown that he's a very good steady guy to pair with an offensive guy.

In 2010 Yzerman made it quite clear that they were choosing players who had chemistry with the other players. That's why Keith/Seabrook came as a combo, and same with Heatley/Thornton/Marleau. Chemistry is EVERYTHING in a short tournament like this one.

Stamkos/St Louis
Bergeron/Marchand
Keith/Seabrook
Bouwmeester/Pietrangelo

All players partnered with their linemates and who excel at the NHL level. It was a great strategy that worked last time. In fact, I expect the Americans to emulate it as Burke mentioned it last time that the Americans had a hard time competing with the chemistry the Canadians have.

Benn being left off is kind of shocking to me. I just assumed he'd be on the team, never imagined he wouldn't even get an invite. Huge error, IMO.

I hope Iggy goes out and scores 35+ this season and makes them feel stupid about leaving him out due to his age.

Politics is a factor here, which explains why Spezza didn't get an invite.

Except then they could just add him and not feel stupid at all.

Guys can go to the Olympics that are not on this list.

Yeah that is why I think there is a good shot Kunitz makes this team. If he is top 10 in scoring again at the time of the selection he will be there.

Kunitz - Crosby - Bergeron (Crosby and Bergeron great chemistry at WJC)
Tavares- Stamkos- St.Louis (Second Scorer who is good in the corners)
Nash - Getzlaf - Perry (Size and Speed on this line)
Staal - Toews - Giroux (Bergeron and Giroux can swap, makes this the shutdown line)

Richards, Couture

Keith- Seabrook
Doughty - Weber
Bouwmeester- Pietrangelo

Subban, Hamhuis

But he barely played with Karlsson. It was his first year in Ottawa last year and Karlsson was hurt most the year. He's a very capable dman in his own way.
