I thought he had a great playoffs and great pre-season so far. He very well could have a career year. I like the guy

Bollig does look better than last year. Hopefully he can really crank it up and double his goal total from last year. That'll make a difference alright.

I love BB's self deprecating humor...this article has videos Kane's Bauer commercial, and BB's parody of the same...http://www.nbcchicago.com/blogs/madh...224886522.html

I was really surprised by Bollig's progression. Hopefully he keeps it up. Would be awesome for him not to be a whipping boy and included in all the "Let's make room for a kid" trade proposals.

I also hope he does more interviews and humorous clips like some of the guys in previous years (Sumo behind Stajan, Hudler delivering pizza, etc.).

Treliving spoke about Bollig this morning on 960 and was very complimentary -- he likes what Bollig brings and expects him to play a bigger role this season. Interestingly, he also said Bollig may have one of the best releases on the team.

I'll also leave this here: https://twitter.com/bolligsbeard

That's why his career shooting percentage is 3.5%. When someone says "sniper", I immediately think of Brandon Bollig.

Maybe you haven't watched him very much but Bollig does actually have a pretty heavy shot and great release. That's not to say he has the speed or hockey IQ to put himself in positions where he can utilize it. However, if he's a bit lighter and faster he might be able to put himself in those positions more often and put up a few more goals.

I have watched him very much. Too much in fact.

Why do people with different opinions always say that posters don't watch players enough? We see the same player, we just see different qualities. The qualities I see in Bollig are his size... and his beard.

Wideman has a heavy shot.
Monahan has a quick release.

Bollig has a... truculence about him.

His release is hardly worth talking about. The man makes the finest slice of toast in the NHL.

I don't doubt you watch it. I just think you are unable to understand what you are seeing beyond a stats sheet.

Riiiight. You're more aware of the subtle nuances of hockey than the "average" fan. You have a sixth sense.

Bollig is not one of the dead people. He just plays that way sometimes.

Just because you can't see what's going on doesn't make him a ghost.

The team had success with him in the lineup, he's improved, management and coaching staff like him enough to play him often. I'll trust the Jack Adams award winning coach over most every fan.

Not even the best coaches have perfect foresight. Hartley is awesome, but he did play Setoguchi in 12 games last year and McGratton in 8 before allowing Jooris to more or less step up as the 3/4 line guy on the right side.

You do though.

Seriously 3/4 of your posts so far have either been condescending or tongue in cheek remarks. I recommend you change your tone or you will continue to get piled on, and rightfully so.
