Default Sportsnet's 2016 national playoff TV schedule!!

"Sportsnet today unveiled part 1 of its 2015-16 NHL national broadcast schedule with must-see matchups across three signature destination nights – Wednesdays with Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey, Saturdays with Hockey Night in Canada and Sundays with Rogers Hometown Hockey."

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/rogers-unveils-2015-16-nhl-broadcast-schedule/

I really like how on Saturday, November 28 there are three Sportsnet games at 2000h.

The breakdown of teams and other information will be coming soon. The NHL.com link also shows the Sportsnet games and the french games on TVA Sports.

Sounds like it's no more Hometown Hockey on City. I don't mind that since I'd usually forget that's where it was and wonder why the game wasn't on Sportsnet.

Also, the one game all season I tried to watch streaming on my iPad was a Hometown Hockey game, so it wasn't available on the Sportsnet app.

i can hardly wait for them to drop the game on centerice where the flames clinch a playoff spot in 2016

i'm still a little choked about that this past season.... we'll broadcast 81 of 82 regular season flames games to bc.... just not the one where the flames beat the kings to clinch a playoff spot - grrrrrr!

Another year of Game Centre Live coming up! No need to even think about SN's national broadcast schedule or blackouts (I live on the west coast).
I just hope the price doesn't go up too much, paid close to $200 last season. It was worth it. Watched some games while working in the US.

That is correct, Hometown Hockey will now be on Sportsnet. Many people questioned why it was on City last season.

Wow, out of the SN exclusive teams the Canucks have the fewest national games. Didn't think that would ever happen.

All Sunday games are Hokey Hometown games I take it?

It's probably more to do with the Pacific time starts than a team thing.

Don't ruin this for us.... Whenever there's a chance to bash the canucks, let's just take it.

Even sportsnet is starting to lose interest in those lousy canucks! They're old news and where the Flames were about 5 years ago! TSN even had the oilers finishing ahead of the canucks!

Well I suppose it's easier to justify those late starts when the team was a cup contender years back but now they are projected to be mediocre it's probably harder to justify those national game starts at 10:30 Toronto time.

The downside of the national games is that we don't hear our excellent regional announcers as often.

I have bumped this thread as the two-thirds to three-quarter mark of the season is here. Sportsnet will be adding games to its national schedule that are important to the playoff race. The games will involve american teams and will be on various Sportsnet channels. The weekly addition of games will affect those who have Centre Ice.

Sunday, February 21
Blackhawks at Wild on SN and NBC too

Monday, February 22
Sharks at Blues on SN,*** but not the east channel

Tuesday, February 23
Islanders at Wild on SN, but not the west channel

Wednesday, February 24

Penguins at Bruins on SN1***
Sharks at Avalanche on SN1***

Thursday, February 25
Wild at Flyers on SN360 and SN Pacific
Predators at Blackhawks on SN East only***

This game may not be available to those on Shaw Cable as the east channel is not part of the channel lineup. The game could still be on Centre Ice.

Friday, February 26
Sabres at Sharks on SN, but not the west channel

Saturday, February 27

Red Wings at Avalanche on SN and on NBC too

Sunday, February 28
Capitals at Blackhawks on SN and on NBC too

Thanks for the great info as always hwy19man. Just wondering if you plan on posting the ratings for the games as per previous seasons?

If you can post the source I would love to have a look myself.

Thanks!

Speak of the devil, good timing on asking about the TV ratings. Hwy19man and I compiled them slowly and I will be posting that in the next 15 minutes.
