Flames leading the Griffins in shots just over 7 minutes in 4-2 Flames. Tyler Wotherspoon has two of those four shots. Both were huge blasts from the blue line that were attempted tips but both went wide.

Flames look to have scored. Hanowski put it in but the net came off the posts.

It does look like the net came off after the goal came in.

Ref's refusing to look at the replay.

No Goal

Flames Arnold getting called for hooking.

Flames to the PK.

(I'm not usually one to start criticizing the ref's, but I'm questioning them between this and the no look at the replay)

Big save by Thiessen!

Flames getting called for another penalty after the Thiessen save. Yonkman going off.

Griffins get a 5 on 3 for 33 seconds

Cundari and Tousignant taking pucks off the body like crazy. Thiessen coming up big when he needs to.

These guys are fighting to protect the PK streak.

Hathaway and Elson with a shorthanded breakaway. Puck goes wide.

Sieloff takes a puck off the hand. He's shaking it off and off to the bench holding it.

Took it off the inside of the palm.

Huska Interview:

Posts were frustrating at the end of the game. Liked the 1st and 3rd period were good by the Flames, 2nd was disappointing. Felt they deserved at least a point the way they played.

Boys wanted to keep pushing despite posts. Guys wanted a goal, kept pushing for a goal, were extremely disappointed they couldn't get the goal to end the game. They worked hard for it, wanted to see that reward.

Expects Griffins to play with alot of pace. Very similar to the Detroit Red Wings. Has a great shooter in Pulkkanien. Plays a similar style to Adirondack with pace so should be a good game.

Coached Callahan in WHL. Glad to see him get some success. Hope he does well along the way, except tonight.

Faceoffs were terrible last night until the last 5 minutes. Still need to improve. Knight was the key centre and relied on. Arnold needs to step up. As does all centre's and winger support.

Couldn't bring in an extra guy with the short notice, so they decided on Ramage. The positive thing with him is he said he'd do whatever was needed to do. Happy to play RW. Expects him to have some struggled, but intelligent player who skates well.

Setoguchi cannot be the saviour that comes in and saves them. That's not the plan with him. He hasn't played alot of minutes in awhile, they expect him to play alot of minutes. He needs to work on game around the net and that's what they will do. Expects him to show some leadership as he has the experience in the NHL. Has a great attitude about being sent to the AHL, great attitude already in the room, they expect him to fit in well.

Puck is in the crease!

Cundari with a huge shot on net and then a bunch of sticks in the crease.

Puck somehow stayed under the goalie.

Arnold's been seriously coming on strong the last while. Tied for the team lead in points with that goal.

For those of us watching/listening to the game on headphones, I'll be finding a hearing clinic link shortly as I think we might need one.

Ow!
