Another ding and the Flames will go postal. This might be what causes Gillies to snap.

Comets gets away with a blatant trip. Call that goalie. Call the damn goalie for that.
Ugh!

Comets clear but not far enough to hit the empty net. Flames bringing it back!

The Comets drive me nuts. Even the 3 Stars is bias. They didn't play THAT well to take all 3. It wasn't a game where they strangleheld the Flames. Ortio could have had a star in that. He made some good saves.
Plus, their goalie tripped Reinhart in the last minute and got away with it. That should have been a PP.

I guess we'll see how much the Baby Flames mirror the Daddy Flames (I'm going to use that now thymebalm, I like that one).
Adirondack faces off against Grand Rapids tomorrow evening. Hopefully they can put the streak behind them and start a new one. This is probably a stinger of a defeat because they worked hard and those posts I'm sure hurt, but the young guys need to learn to bounce back.

Highlights (from AHL Live, Comets haven't put out their package. Please give the video a good minute to buffer before playing or you will see choppy video that will drive you mad): http://ahl.neulion.com/ahl/video/uti...k-flames/11350
I also was tweeting with the Flames PBP guy about Wolf. They don't have an update on him but they expect one tomorrow. It doesn't look like the injury is very serious for it being head/neck area, however he did not return to the game tonight.

Sorry, I meant to answer this Saturday morning and got busy.
Poirier was much better in this game then he was in the past couple. He was far more noticeable then the Amerks and Marlies games where you actually had to look for him on the ice to make sure he was playing. He was showing off his speed again and had a couple of good chances, one of which he scored on. Not to sound all cliche, but the bounces were working for him this game where the other two games he just wasn't making a ton happen. He was going through a mini slump of sorts.
Not a knock on him mind you. At 13 professional games, you can't expect him to come out every night and impress. Having a 2 game point drought being the worst of your career so far still is pretty impressive.

sorry, this was meant for Grand Rapids game thread
Well that was an ugly game! They deserved to win against Utica the other night but last night was all Grand Rapids, with the exception of our PK units. Seto was ok for his 1st game but seemed to add some confusion to one of the power plays. Poor Ramage, he tried as a forward. I was wishing better for him. Face offs was an issue and so was the non existent fore checking. Thiesen lost confidence after an early bad luck goal but there were some defensive gaps as well. Thought Yonkman was invisible and the 1st line D pairing was sub par most of the game in the defensive end. Hopefully they get back into the winning ways again.
