^ haha. was about to say that it sounds like a strangely fimiliar story line. Perhaps the entire organization has adopted the rope-a-dope system?
I'm sure this question has been answered/discussed somewhere in backburner... I apologize for being too lazy to search. How are you all watching these games? I definitely want to subscribe to the stream.
What the heck is with Hanowski this year? With the amount of depth in this organization I was ready to write him off, but not so soon. The guy's putting up excellent numbers.

Dropped in to ask the same thing.
Is this some good bounces early or is this guy becoming a threat to move up the depth chart? A guy with size that suddenly has hands? Would love to hear what people in the seats have to say.
Wouldn't surprise me if it was Hanowski getting the call today when Seto clears. I love Knights FO strength, but Hano surely has earned a chance as well by now. With Raymond, Colborne and Stajan closer to returning from injury, this could be the last chance to reward an AHL prospect in a while.
Just wanted to add my thanks Drury18.
I read through this entire thread a whole day after the fact, and was able to "follow" the game through your posts. I really appreciate it.

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, the highlights were posted only a couple hours ago by the Flames.
Bingo, regarding your question about Hanowski (which I have a hard time answering without some bias as I have liked him for awhile now), please see :52, :58, 1:08 and 1:42. I'm not going to sit here and tell you he's suddenly some speedy, sniper winger, but his puck handling has improved and playing with Wolf/Vause has given his game another dimension. His goals aren't all highlight reel pretty, but when he does get one on one chances, he doesn't look as awkward as he once did and he is finishing in front of the net much more then he was last year.

This might be another good video to see how Hanowski has progressed as well. His 2 games against Lake Erie was essentially the Ben Hanowski show. Hat-Trick in the first game and a combined 11 shots in the weekend series:
He leads the Flames with SOG by a decent margin (41) as well as has 5 more goals then anyone else on the team (he has 9G and 3A). He's at .80 PPG which is only behind Vause (4GP), Ferland and Poirier. All in 15 games.
In 55 games last year, he had 13G, 18A and 95 SOG with a .56 PPG.
There's definitely been improvement and I do think he is making some noise. He might not be Jooris level threat, but I think he's proven that giving him another 1 year contract wasn't a foolish idea and that he's working towards getting something a little longer from the Flames at the end of this season and he could become a decent 3rd or 4th line option for the Flames wanting to have a bigger, more physical line that produces. The chemistry with him and Wolf has been incredible the last couple games and if they can translate that into the NHL, we have a decent crash and bang winger pairing going on here.
