I haven't seen him favouring one over the other. He's fast, he's shifty, he's shooting like crazy so I don't imagine he's having issues.

I'm saying a week or two more because Emile's professional career spans all of 6 games. 2 with Abbotsford last year, 4 with Adirondack this year. And a major shoulder injury. There's no need to rush him and he still probably could use a few more AHL games just to ensure he is up to speed and size to play with the "big boys" but the way he's playing and has played in the AHL, I can't imagine he's going to be there for much longer.

highlights (pretty horrible... half of it is the ceremonial puck drop and they only show two Flames goals)

Soooooo, good thing Treliving/Pascal didn't jump all over the panic button and can Huska 6/7 games into his pro coaching career?

We sure have a buttload of legit prospects in our system these days. Jeebus

I believe Poirier said in a recent post game interview that once he started playing again, he realized he didn't need to worry about his shoulder. Everything seems fine.

He is that good.
If Poirier is ripping it up after his shoulder surgery, imagine if Bennett finds a new gear after his shoulder surgery. Pretty fantastic time to be a a Flames fan!

Poirier is on another level than even how well Granlund and Ferland were playing down there prior to their recall. He's not going to be in the AHL for much longer.

So pumped that poirier is healthy.
As someone else said, just adding poirier and Bennett next year to gaudreau, granlund, ferland, jooris would be amazing.

I'm not to familiar with Poirier but does he play the opposite wing as Baertschi? I have a feeling we'll be sending Baertschi down once we get some healthy bodies back and it'd be good to have him regain some of his scoring touch. Perhaps being paired with Poirier will help that? I recall Baertschi being more of a passer and Poirier more of a shooter, so that'd might be a nice combo to develop in the farm.

The Heat actually had Poirier and Baertschi on a line together during one of the playoff games. Poirier was on the LW, Baertschi on the RW. It is a possibility to see that combo again.

Isn't Poirier a RW and Baertschi a LW? Why would anyone switch that?

You'd have to ask Coach Ward that question. I looked up the lineup stuff to make sure I didn't lose it and that's how it was written.

He's talking about a playoff game from last year. Coach Ward was the one who made that decision.
