Is Ramage still in the ECHL? Perhaps they think they have too many bodies to bring in Kanzig this year. Especially since Billins and Cundari should be with the Heat soon.

Ramage is still in the ECHL.

I could see it being a bodies thing. The Heat roster is currently sitting at 8 healthy defencemen, with Billins and Breen possibly being returned Sunday.

Cundari would go back to the Wolves if reassigned. He would not go to the Heat.

Not fully sure the rules on that one. I'm not sure he can go from WHL to ECHL.

As per Ward's post game press conference this afternoon, he is expecting Kanzig to join the team in Abbotsford.

Doesn't sound like Kanzig will play or make the final road trip of the season, however he will be working out with the Flames conditioning guy (not Hesketh but Pittis) and the Heat's conditioning guy.

Found this on HF... Thought it was a good read on Kanzig for those that feel like reading something.

ECHL teams can sign ATO for amateurs. So if Kanzig was WHL then he could sign right up and play in the playoffs.

Nice to hear good comments from Lowry about his foot speed. He'll need couple years in AHL to adjust and good be a good third pair dman.

His foot speed has definitely improved this year since being at the flames camp. My favorite Royals player. Going to miss watching him live when he makes the jump to the pro ranks.

Well, if Kanzig's NHL career doesn't work out, he looks to have solid "Being a Tree" skills here.

Looks like a good room guy and a good sense of humour as the Hitmen would have filmed this only a couple days after his trade to them.

Just watched several fights Kanzig has recently been involved in and they have left me very underwhelmed. He has not dominated like I would expect with his size even considering he has towered over some of his opponents. Has anyone actually seen Kanzig fight and if so was he just going through the motions like I saw or was he a little more inspiring?

Yeah, he's big and strong but from what I've seen his fighting abilities aren't great. Maybe McGrattan can do some teaching.

He seem to get tied up often or get locked out. Need to utilize his reach and go high and low, upper cut etc. Gillies is good with switching hands and seem to have good techniques. Don't want to copy Trevor though when it comes to sanity.
