FC scout watching Mattson tonight:
Andrew Weiss @WeissFC
It's easy to say Calgary pick Mitchell Mattson looked good given he scored twice but his whole game was strong tonight. Best I've seen him
The game was against the USNTDP

If you're looking for something to watch on a Tuesday afternoon/evening, BU is hosting Harvard tonight. The game starts at 5:00pm MT, and is streaming here: https://campusinsiders.com/live/11-2...ard-at-bu-mih/
Hickey (#4 for BU - white) vs Fox (#18 for Harvard - red).

I caught the third, Fox looked good. Brodie-esque when breaking out of the d-zone.
Inexplicable bad pinch on the 5-3 goal but I'll chalk that one up to trying to push for the equalizer.
Hickey looked solid, but he barely gets any ice-time when I watch him. He was out to hold the lead in the last minute though and made some good reads.

After a team-leading 8 assists in 8 games, Adam Fox finally has his first Collegiate goal.

Nice patience on the shot.

A big 3-point game for Fox. After his opening goal, he later added 2 assists. Harvard defeated Bentley 5-2. Harvard has at least tied every game in which Fox has a point, and has lost both of the games where he's been kept off the scoresheet.
Colgate was also in action on Saturday. They lost 3-2 to Providence (it's so strange, after following Jankowski and Gillies for the last 4 years to not care about PC this season). Harrison had one assist.
BU has an extended Thanksgiving break and isn't back in action until next Friday.

Other u19 NCAA d-men who have been 0.8 P/G or better since 2000:
Werenski
Wiercioch
Faulk
Jack Johnson
Trouba had 0.78
No doubt that Fox can put up the points, he's very good. He could be going pro a little earlier than I thought if he keeps it up.

I was very excited about this kid after we drafted him. It would be great if at least 2 of Kylington, Andersson, Fox develop well enough where we can involve on in a top line rw trade.

All the Flames picks got points on Friday. Colgate was in Arizona. Harrison had 1 goal and 1 assist in a 5-4 loss.
Colgate and Harvard both play their last games before Christmas tomorrow night (BU has games next weekend too).
6 points in his last 2 games should give Fox a boost going into the Team USA camp which starts in two weeks.

If Fox keeps this pace through the entire season do you think we try and sign him to an ELC this year to keep his rights? Or do we wait another year to decide?

They have four years to decide since he went to college right away. I imagine they'll have a conversation with his advisors this summer to gauge his progress.

For sure you put on the full court press. If nothing else, you do it just to show the player how much you value him.
That would be really impressive if he put a point per game throughout the season as an 18 year old freshman. Gaudreau did that too, but we are talking about a defenseman with Fox.

My thoughts exactly. Look at guys like Hanifin and Werenski, they are bigger guys but they didn't put up.the same numbers Fox is now.

Careful comparing Fox's season to Gaudreau's. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure Hockey East is much tougher than ECAC

Another assist for Fox tonight: https://twitter.com/Harvard_Hockey/s...04499782451200
The first period just ended. Fox now has a point in each of the last 7 periods he's played.
