It is so satisfying to see the team finally make the moves we have been crying out for, for so long. Sign young uys, give the prospects a shot, sell high on UFA's. Is this still the Flames we are talking about?

Love the Pospisil signing. Maybe he can be the Flames Tom Wilson.

I absolutely love bottom 6 players who impact games in this way. I know we all want that offensive gamebreaker to score the GWG in that clutch moment, but there's also something to be said for a bottom 6 guy who impacts the game that way. Maybe it's a coincidence, maybe not. But no denying Pospisil brings an element to the team we haven't had since a young Tkachuk was coming into the league.

Very fair deal for both sides and I'm sure he's ecstatic with it.

Good deal for Pospisil. As for Kylington, I don't see any reason to rush a signing just a handful of games into his return. We don't even know what he is now until he settles in and plays 25-30 games.

Both Duehr and now Pospisil are zero risk signings under the $1.25M threshold.

Worst case is assigned to the AHL at NHL salary and zero cap hit.

I am surprised with how well he has played in the NHL. I didn't think he was going to be much more than a guy who plays a game or two here and there for a couple of years. To jump in and be a regular and earn a 2 year contract is very awesome for him. Anything is Pospisil.

Glad he's going to be around for awhile. He may not drive a line but maybe just maybe he makes his linemates play a foot taller and 40 pounds heavier and becomes a better than average center? If they indeed put him there and he improves as per suggestions snd rumors .

They don't play exactly the same game, but I'm reminded a lot of the impacts from this crazy bastard:

That's Ville Nieminen for those that can't tell. Didn't score a bunch or produce a lot of counting stats, but played a high energy game that impacted the rest of his line and roster in a very positive way. Pospisil is that guy.

His goal against CuJo in '04 still sends shivers down my spine.

Screw the Canucks and all that, but Jarkko Ruutu was cut from that mould too and he was an awesome pest. Pospisil makes me think of those two, Nieminen and Ruutu in particular. Not huge scoring numbers but a skilled, high-energy, annoying a-hole that can play meaningful minutes in the NHL and drive the other team bananas. Not a lot of players of that ilk ever, and especially not the last 15 years.

Too bad there's rules around cap circumvention because if the Flames passed the proverbial hat around the league to teams and players, that $2M owed to MP would've been collected in full by now thanks to that "cross check".

Hatcher turned into a useless plug after Iggy beat his ass in Game 2(?). It's pretty funny watching him get worked in Neimo's goal above and the series winner in Game 6.
