Has Tim Harrison had any noticeable impact for Colgate?

Hard for him to have any impact when he is pretty much confined to the 4th line.

Should be a tell tale season next year for him everyone in the depth chart above him is set to leave. RW Kyle Baun is expected to go pro. RW Joe Wilson and RW Daniel Gentzer are in their final year of NCAA eligibility.

Big year for the fan favorite then next year. Hopefully he's a break out player who was buried behind senior players. Also, the Flames need more Kyle Baun.

BU wins and goes on to play UMass Lowell tomorrow. Hickey had no points in the 4-1 win.

Game should be on TSN2

edit: looks like tape delay at 8:00pm MT

Looks like if all the higher seeds win today, Providence will get into the NCAA tournament.

The monte carlo simulator on collegehockeynews.com gives Providence a 54% chance of getting in.

Using the Pairwise simulator on College Hockey News, it looks like there's only one game that will determine whether or not Providence gets in.

Both of the teams in the Atlantic Hockey final are below Providence in the Pairwise, so the winner will automatically get the 16th seed in the tournament, and the loser will be done.

The teams in the NCHC and WCHA finals are all top-10 in the Pairwise. Losing today won't drop any of them below Providence, and winning won't push Providence any lower.

Oddly, the Hockey East final will impact who gets in from the ECAC, but won't change Providence's ranking. If BU wins Hockey East, both Colgate and Harvard will qualify. If Mass-Lowell wins Hockey East, then only the ECAC champion will qualify.

Because the Pairwise uses strength of schedule in its rankings, and Providence beat Mass-Lowell both times they played this year, a Mass-Lowell win would boost Providence's score enough to push them ahead of the ECAC loser, who would drop due to their loss. A BU win would keep Mass-Lowell behind Providence and the ECAC loser ahead of Providence.

The game that will determine if Providence qualifies is the Big-10 final between Michigan and Minnesota. Minnesota is ahead of Providence in the Pairwise, and Michigan is behind. Regardless of what happens, Providence will remain as the 15th-highest Pairwise team. If Minnesota wins, Providence will get in as the 15th seed. If Michigan wins, they'll get the automatic qualifier and steal the 15th seed in the tournament from Providence.

Go Gophers!

Harvard up 3-1 on Colgate after 2.

BU up 4-1 on UMass-Lowell after 2 (Hickey with 1 assist).

Michigan and Minnesota scoreless after 1.

The Michigan - Minnesota game is tied at 2 after 2. It's a pretty good game (airing on BTN).

And Colgate loses 4-2 to Harvard in the ECAC championship. Colgate should still get into the NCAA tournament.

edit: NVM Colgate drops to 17th on the pairwise rankings. season is done

I'm not sure what happened with the Pairwise since my post this morning, but it looks like they're done now.

Only two games left, and all results have Colgate on the outside.

Providence still needs a Minnesota win to get in (2-2 midway through the third).

Empty netter with 22 seconds left. Providence should be getting the call this week.

PC Men's Hockey @FriarsHockey
Not exactly how we drew it up, but making the NCAA Tourney in back-to-back seasons for 1st time in program history is a huge accomplishment!

The tournament brackets will be announced tomorrow at 10am MT (noon ET). As the 15th seed, Providence will likely be travelling to North Dakota to play the #2 seed, UND.
