If true this is a good sign imo - the core is maturing, our D was already intimidating and this will push it over the top. We should finish 20-31 next year so 3 years of Hamonic is worth that cost to go along with the other pick.

Hahaha,so many negative posters in this thread. He's not a top two D-man, but good lord guys, we're adding a legit top four D-man that will solidify our D core as one of the strongest in the league.
Yeah, there's something going the other way, but allow yourself to just have even an ounce of fun as a fan. We're looking to jump into contender status in the next two to three years. This is how that starts to happen, not by stockpiling picks and prospects til the commissioner goes "Wow, look at that future, here's the Stanley Cup!!!".

Maybe the reason for the trade is that they know theyll have to over pay for Stone on the open market. I'm not so sure Stone is resigned now. Unless there has been talks with his agent but I have not heard a peep anywhere
