Flames Ferland day-to-day. Probably won’t play tomorrow

Not as dire as some were thinking hopefully. Conroy was a little ominous on TSN just now saying they didn't know how long he would be out.

Sounds like a Chris Stewart kind of opportunity for a roster adjustment.

Conroy said he wasn’t sure when a Ferland was going to back. Sounded more than day to day.

With Ferland out, it'll definitely give Stewart a chance at his debut in a Flames uniform.

I think he deserves more than a debut. Lol

I don't know, because he hasn't played yet and hasn't given the team a reason to give him more than a debut... so it seems a debut is a reasonable place to start.

Hard to judge a guy on 1 game is what I was getting at.

Fair enough. Will be interesting to see how he does... I've always kind of liked him as a player, but haven't really followed him the last year or so.

I’m concerned that Ferland has a concussion. Has had one or two in the past. I think this is why he doesn’t fight as much as some would like him to.

I doubt it. They said he suffered the injury against Nashville but played through it. Fought in Arizona as well, which he wouldn't do if he was dealing with any degree of concussion.

It’s just intuition but at the time I felt like the back story was BS. What do I know? It was just a feeling I got but I was skeptical that the injury in Arizona had anything to do with the game in Nashville.

Hoping Bennett takes his spot and never looks back.

Ferland on the third line fits his game more anyway.

I'm a big fan of Ferland, but Bennett remembering how to hockey and becoming the player we thought we were getting would be a gigantic boost to this team at this stage of our progression.
