That call to put the Flames down at the end made me sick. Brutal.

Anyhoo, glad that season is behind us.

Should be an interesting offseason.

Pleeeeeease don’t turn them into a garbage team like San Jose. I couldn’t watch that garbage for a whole season.

San Jose was in the spot Calgary is going to be in in the next couple years. I feel Calgary has gotten the jump on it way before San Jose did. That said, guys on that team with big contracts could still actually play, or overachieved and were easier to move. This is why you move guys like Coleman in the off season. If he was 25 I would give him 8 million a year, but this a career year and he's old.

Actually, no, you wouldn't, because he still has three years to go on his current contract.

As far as I'm concerned, Coleman can stay for the rest of that contract if he wants. He's a very good and conscientious defensive winger who also scores some goals and sets a good example for the young players. He came here as a UFA; I don't mind if he leaves as a UFA.

Happy that Weegs got 20, Klapka got #1 and Colsey got 30. Here's my last dance video of the season:

2 - 30 goal scorers
5 - 20 goal scorers

2nd in the league in dmen goals.

I dunno these numbers are of a playoff team to me. Especially when a team like LA makes it in.

It does make little sense as to how poorly they did considering the following had great seasons:

Coleman
Kadri
Sharongovich
Weegar
Hanifin before he left
Kuzmenko after he showed up
Markstrom
Pospisil
Zary

The terrible start sealed their fate. You can’t get that far behind. Powerplay was probably the primary reason. Losing a goal a game is a killer.

Oh well. Patch things up and on to next season.

Disagree. You can't just have a bunch of young guys with no mentors. That's how you quickly become Buffalo or Ottawa. I think Coleman would be a fantastic mentor, and the only way he's not on this team is if he asks for a trade.

Now, in his last year of his contract, if he's playing really well then you can flip him at the trade deadline.

Well, both of LA's goalies - both ex-Flames - were statistically superior to Markstrom this year. You can start there.
