I have a bad feeling about this, but I've watched 2 full games of Flames hockey this year and they have won both, and I'm gonna watch tonight also, so np, we got this.
It's either 4-2 for us or 1-3 to them!

For years, it seems like the Flames have felt that they're all entitled to a rest day if Kipper gets one. It will be interesting to see if that's still the case. I think/hope that Hartley's influence and/or the fact that, even though he's the backup, Irving is our #1 healthy option, leads to a complete effort tonight. If we get that, we'll get the 2 points.

Kerr - "Leland, how many saves will you make tonight?"
Irving - "Whatever I feel like saving, gosh!"

Flames continue their strong play and walk away with a convincing 4-1 victory. Backlund, Glencross and Stempniak break out his game with 2 goals and really control the offensive zone.
Irving lets in a weak early one but really settles down as the team rallies around him limiting CBJ to 21 shots.

Big game for the flames and big game for Irving. Need Irving to have a solid game. Don't want Feaster to hit panic button and trade assets for a back up goalie.
Flames win 4-1.
Iggy, Cammi, Hudler and Gio with goals.

Flames win 9-5. Cammy and Iginla both with 2. Backlund with a hat trick, Snickers with one, and Stajan with one.

I don't think that's the case at all, I think it was more the case that, when the backup was in, they were trying to be more careful, more defensive. The result was spending the whole night in their own end.
It will be interesting to see if they play the same up-tempo game tonight that we have seen recently, or if they revert.
Bottomline: they have to put up a W with the backup in there. Better for Irving and everyone concerned if they win 9-8 than if they lose 1-0 in OT.

Flames win 4-3 OT, Stempniak gets OT winner. Hudler 2 goals.

I'll be out and won't get to watch the game, so that mean we're definitely going to win tonight.

I hope we win, and I hope Irving plays great.
I find myself really looking forward to watching this team play. Not anywhere near as many prolonged fire drills in their own end, lots of puck possession, shots, offensive chances and control of the play.
Go Flames!
