It was always advertised as a paid game, right from announcement. I was expecting to pay for it when I downloaded, but yeah - it's effectively a little demo, and then pay to unlock the full game.

$14.99 buy once and done for a Nintendo quality game is pretty damn good.

My only complaint is the ghost player in Toad Rush blocks vision of your own player a bunch of the time and it sucks.

Two things to keep in mind: It has always-on DRM, and it uses a lot of data. Watch you don't blow your data caps playing it.

Already blown half a gig to get it and the 2nd level... will be waiting until I'm home to continue playing.

Been super excited for this. Been playing the first world and it can actually be pretty tricky getting all the coins. Purchased the full app and cant wait to play this tonight

Rumor: Super Mario Run needs 75 MB of data per hour with “constant, involved” play
Seems very unlikely that the game will actually use 75MB/h, but it does seem to be a bit of a data hog.
