Listened to the first 5 minutes of it. Pretty bad as a product, never mind the creepiness factor.

He's been found not guilty. Why do people insist on trying to destroy peoples lives over allegations proven false in the court of law?
Oh right. OJ.
Carry on.

Are you suggesting this isn't a great profile picture for a guy trying to shake a reputation as a sadistic predator?

He was found not guilty of assault, but he pretty much admitted to being a creep by saying all the weird stuff he did to those women were consensual.

The dude is an obvious slimeball.
He may not be in jail but that doesnt mean hes as pure as the driven snow either.
Just because his shark of a lawyer kept him from being passed around and treated the way he likes to treat women doesnt meant that his actions while not legally actionable arent still morally reprehensible.

Jian Ghomeshi's full apology to Kathryn Borel
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toront...orel-1.3577111
I failed to understand and truly appreciate the impact of my conduct on Ms. Borel's work environment. That conduct in the workplace was sexually inappropriate. I realize that there is no way for me to know the full impact on her personally and professionally. I now recognize that I crossed boundaries inappropriately. A workplace should not have any sexualized tone. I failed to understand how my words and actions would put a co-worker who was younger than me, and in a junior position to mine, in an uncomfortable place. I did not appreciate the damage that I caused, and I recognize that no workplace friendship or creative environment excuses this sort of behaviour, especially when there is a power imbalance as there was with Ms. Borel. This incident was thoughtless and I was insensitive to her perspective and how demeaning my conduct was towards her. I understand this now.

He has every right to start a podcast, and we have every right to ignore it. Not a fan.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

He even comes across as Douchy in how he describes this thing
Quote:
The description reads, "In a 140-character environment, nuance is often a casualty. The Ideation Project is a creative adventure with the aim of taking a bigger picture view on newsworthy issues and culture, with the goal of asking questions and starting conversations."

How many have replied "Should we start a conversation about punching women in the face and then pretending they wanted it?"
... I bet it's at least 100.

Funny thing is he always talked that way, but it just seemed kind of earnest and goofy before this all came out.
Now, it's got the definite DB/creep vibe. Anything this guy touches will, forever.

I read articles before any of the sexual aggression stuff came out about how much of an obsessive control-freak Ghomeshi was. He was hated and feared at the CBC for years.

Don't know what this means for his new thing, but...
http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/web-host-p...hate-1.3365003
A San Francisco-based software company, Art19, was an audio host which feed the podcast for distribution on iTunes.
After receiving a barrage of hate for its perceived support and association with Ghomeshi’s new project, it suspended its hosting role on Tuesday.
“This show was placed on our platform without our awareness yesterday,” said Roddy Swearngin, a spokesperson for Art19. “After receiving complaints, we suspended it.”
