I think it's cool how little Gaudreau relies on the PP to score his points.

He leads the league in scoring, but isn't even top 10 in powerplay points.

Wonder if the Flames have any interest in Pat Mullane (Gaudreau's center-man). He is a senior so this is his last year of NCAA hockey.

He has been to Capitals and Blackhawks development camps the past two years and reportedly left good impressions at those camps.

The Flames did invite Tim Schaller, a big centre from Providence last year, so it wouldn't be strange if they would at least take a look at him.

That's fantastic news and bodes well for his transition to pro hockey, and the NHL. ES points have been shown to be a far greater indicator of future potential than PP points. PP specialists at lower levels end up like Shremp more often than not.
