Barry Davis has a job to do, and I see the guys liking him more than being annoyed at him. He's like a little kid over there. I like the guy and his awkwardness.

That was a solid effort today.
And no way should Bautista have bunted - swinging away was the correct play there.
Please beat Baltimore because another series with the Rangers HAS to happen!

A Jays-Rangers rematch is the series the MLB and its fans deserve.

Jays did it the hard way but are in!
Looking forward to a very noisy crowd in TO on Tuesday.

Liriano was up in the pen today which tells me they were leaning towards Stroman at that point.
So, either one of those guys. Or a combo of both is also very possible.

Sanchez finishes as the American League ERA champ. Awesome stuff!

Definitely going to be interesting to see who the Jays throw out there on Tuesday, do they trust Stroman or do they risk throwing Estrada out there on short rest? Maybe Liriano?

I'm seeing that Baltimore is not good against lefties while they are the 5th best hitting team in the majors against righties, might be wise to put Liriano in as the starter then.

I'd be okay with that

Gibbie knows a thing or two about winning. Don't need your stupid "stats".

^^Jiminez or Tillman would be the rested starters.
Tillman is their best. Jimenez just shut us down on Thursday in the 4-0 loss. Not ideal for us either way.

I'm happy that the jays made the wildcard and everything but I'm not only one that doesn't consider making the wildcard making the playoffs right? I mean major league baseball can say that it means you made the playoffs but I think it's just a one game play-in to make the real playoffs.
If the Jays lost, God forbid, there's no way that if I was talking to someone next year about the previous season I would say "hey at least they were a playoff team last year". No. They made the one game wild-card play in or tiebreaker or whatever you want to call it but I would not refer to it as "playoffs". I reserve using the term playoffs for the ALDS, the ALCS or the World Series.
Again ignoring what major league baseball calls it, I personally consider a one game tiebreak to get into the wild card as no different than the wildcard game itself, in terms of just being a tiebreaker and not "real" playoffs.

You're not alone. If they lose it will feel like they missed the playoffs to me.
