Who's Tim Erixon? Is he related to Tom Erixon?

He deserves to be an oiler.

I kinda want to laugh but also as previously suggested the Flames should pick him up. Either he or Schlemko, especially if Giordano is out for more than a week.

That would be even better. The only sad part is that he'd actually improve that atrocious blueline.

He would provide depth and has some upside still. And you have to think he's more humble now than he was in 2010. Given the our poor depth on D, with no prospects on the horizon save Wotherspoon, I say go for it, claim him. What's the worst that could happen?

Cue obligatory angry rant from random poster in, 3... 2... 1...

Claim him, send him to Addy, and keep him as their 7th dman for the rest of the season.

Tempting to pick him up but the irony of him ending up in the frozen tundra of Edm would be too delicious. Hope he gets claimed by Edm, refuses to report and ends up in the KHL.

He has fallen that far.

As I recall it was:

- Columbus' normal 6 defencemen
- Nikita Nikitin lately of Oilers ridiculous overpayment fame
- Tim Erixon
- Then traded to Chicago because he couldnt crack the lineup even in the absence of Nikitin. Played 8 games and registered 0 points.

He was deemed inferior to Nikita Nikitin, who is terrible. Completely useless.

If you claim him, you can't sent him to Adirondack without him having to pass through waivers again.
