I'm sure hoping that Bayern wins this one 10-2.

City Madrid I can't wait

Would have liked it in the semi or final, but I'll take this anyway

I think they're all really interesting ties.

City/Madrid is money vs. money + experience

Arsenal/Bayern is two teams that are playing well but still have faults and gaps, I think this one is going to be wild.

Atletico/Dortmund is the battle of the 'Little Brothers.'

PSG/Barca again is money and underachievers vs. an experienced mess.

I think they all have their charm. This is going to be a great Quarters I think.

Going to be the opposite this year, It's revenge season!
In all seriousness, I think Arsenal can win this in a close one.

I think that both Bayern and Arsenal have to be happy with the QF draw, but would be happier if they could have followed up that draw with being in the other SF bracket.

Bayern are beatable from an Arsenal POV while Arsenal are inexperienced from a Bayern POV. It has the potential to be a great tie. No doubt, Kane will be extra pumped for this one.

I am obviously no fan of Arsenal and I am a Bayern fan, but man...I think this one is going to be wild.

Bayern are not the Juggernauts they used to be, their form is all over the place and you could say more or less the same about Arsenal.

I dont think either team is going to get played off the pitch barring a major collapse, I think its going to be narrow whichever way it goes.

At the end of the day I think Bayern are going to take it and I think Kane is going to be the difference maker.

He's going to earn his money on this one. And lets not forget, a newly in-form Gnabry also has an Arsenal bone to pick.

The funny thing is, its very arguably better for spurs, and villa/man united, for arsenal to win

Article on athletic said it would basically guarantee England that extra cl spot

They are favorites still now article on athletic had, because villa have best odds in conference league, and liverpool and west ham are still in Europa league and liverpool are probably favorites for that too

I love this, because as a Canadian we practice in Gyms a lot, and as a coach I'd usually spend some time with my designated free-kick takers practicing very similar drills.

My favourite was trying to sink a soccer ball into a basketball net.

The first time I introduced the kids to that drill I let them try it first and the consensus was that its impossible.

It isn't. I took 10 shots and sunk 3 of them. It can be done.

As you can see in the video, Kroos is figuring out that a soccer ball isnt a basketball. They bounce very differently, especially off the backboard. If you want to use the backboard it has to be feather-light, for the most part though, you've got to go for the 'swish.'

I will say, when I was teaching kids to do this, theres a few things to consider, a soccer ball doesnt bounce 'properly' on a gym floor compared to a pitch and also, the ball should be 'dead' rather than bouncing.

Anyways, Kroos is a beauty, one of my favourite players and one of the best midfielders and passers in the game. But I'd love to see them do this with Modric. That guy is pure magic.

Its still impressive as hell.

Xabi Alonso has confirmed he will stay on as manager of Bayer Leverkusen for the 2024-25 season despite strong interest from some of Europe's biggest teams, including Bayern Munich and Liverpool, as he sees the club as the best place for him to continue his development as a coach.
https://global.espn.com/football/sto...ayern-interest

And good for him. I think he's making the right decision here.

Did I want Alonso for Liverpool? Of course! But his statement is absolutely correct, he's going to develop as a coach and Leverkusen is probably the best place for him.

And not to mention, Leverkusen are his boys. His group. They fought together to get where they are and they're going to be in the Champions' League next season.

Hopefully he changes his mind in a couple of years, but for now I think this is the absolute best decision for him.

Besides, Xabi got them here, he should be with them next season for their fight in Europe to fight alongside them. Its just right.

never cared for Xabi Alonso (who played for the trifecta of dislikeable clubs), but shafting two of those clubs here is a beautiful thing.

I understand disliking Bayern and Madrid, but what do you have against Real Sociedad?
