Don't see much of a future for Schneider. Hasn't been able to achieve a 0.900 save percentage the past 3 seasons. With Gillies probably being in the AHL again next season and Mason MacDonald making the jump to the AHL, I would suspect that Schneider will spend next season in the ECHL if he isn't eligible to stay in junior.

Tuulola another quite night so far - his team leads 2-0 in the 3rd.

Schneider is currently the backup in a 4-0 game for MH.

At the end of 2 periods Kelowna is down 4-1 but Dube continues his streak with the lone goal for the Rockets.

Matthew Phillips with an explosive night so far - his team leads 3-1 in the third and he has two primary assists and a secondary assist so far.

If he finishes with the 3 A's tonight he will have 43 G and 35 A totalling 78 pts through 60 games. Over a full 72 game season that's good for a 94 point pace.

I actually like Schneider. He has a very high level of compete, and really reminds me of Parsons in that way. I am not too concerned what his save percentage is in junior (it is such a team-dependent thing anyways).

Tuulola ended up scoring a goal in that game mid third.

GP 50 / G 16 / A 11 / pts 27 / even / PIM 24 - not a bad first season translating his game to North America.

Dube Finished with 1 G 1 A last night in a losing effort:

GP 30 / G 11 / A 26 / pts 37 / +13 / PIM 36 - injuries hurt him early but he's had a great season considering.

Phillips ended with 3 assists in a win last night:

GP 60 / G 43 / A 35 / pts 78 / +41 / PIM 46 - wow, this kid really has me excited, early yet but has just mad skills and plays a 200 foot game. Lowry being his headcoach has been awesome for him.

Dube with another monster night in a 9-5 blow out win. He had a goal and 2 assists; was named the 2nd star of the game.

Tuulola was quiet but an even player in a 6-1 loss.

Phillips picks up a primary assist and is in the third up 3-1 with 7 mins left.

Phillips was a -2 but managed to put up 1 G 2 A in a 4-3 win. He potted the game winner with a little over 6 mins left in the third.

He now has 44 G 39 A 81 Pts and is a +39 through 61 games. Still has 11 more games to go and is putting him self in a position for 50+ goals - already has 7 more than last year so far.

Dube/Tuulola are playing in a 2-2 tie late in the third;quiet night for both.

Schneider continues to not get starts in MH.

Will be attending the Royals vs Chiefs game tonight. Very excited to see Phillips go head to head with Yamamoto. Will give a recap after the game.

Parsons is back in action after missing a month due to injury.

Last night he let in 4 goals on 26 shots, in a 5-4 win.

Tonight he let in 4 goals on 38 shots, in a 4-1 loss

Phillips just scored his 45th to tie it 1-1.

Hope he can score a few more for you!

It's now 3-3 at the end of two -- Phillips with the goal KFF mentioned and has since added a secondary assist -- he's a +1 through 40 min.

Dube's team is down 2-1 after two but a late 6 seconds left tally by Dube has pulled the Rockets back in it.

Tuulola is a +1 with no points in a 3-1 lead at the end of the 2nd.

Phillips was very impressive tonight, got hit pretty hard in the first but if anything it got him more engaged. Got 2 G 1A including the OT winner. He had a hell of a shift before he scored the winning goal, he isn't afraid to go to the dirty areas and is by no means playing a perimeter game, he battles along the boards when he can and had a couple nice back checks where he was able to strip the puck. I've said it before here but I really think he could be a good one, outplayed K.Yamamoto tonight by a fair bit. Will be interesting if he stays in Junior next year, guess will depend on how he looks in camp. I think he could make the jump to the AHL. If he could hit 50 goals that would make him the first Royal to do it i'm pretty sure. Dube and Phillips seem like very good picks so far.

^ Unfortunately Phillips isn't eligible for the AHL next season. As per the NHL/CHL agreement a player drafted out of the CHL must turn 20 before December 31st or have completed 4 seasons in major junior to be eligible to be assigned to the AHL. Otherwise a CHL player can only be assigned after their CHL team's season and playoffs are over.

It is either the NHL or back to Victoria for Phillips.

Ahh that is right, ya I don't really see what another year of junior would do for him, but I'm guessing that will be the case then.

Maybe he should pack his bags and go to Switzerland for next season.

Maybe, but keep in mind Victoria needs to sign off on his IIHF transfer card for him to play in Europe.

Recall that Yakupov was suspended by the IIHF when he tried to play in the KHL without being released by Sarnia.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/n...investigation/

Eventually it got worked out (by probably the KHL team paying off Sarnia).

I don't think that's gonna happen but it would be good for Phillips to start to play against men sooner rather than later. Don't think he has much more to learn in Junior besides just getting a bit bigger. But another season watching him be dominant is not too bad either.

With the goal, @NHLFlames prospect @mattphillips_8 has set the new Royals' record for most markers in a single season at 47!

Is it even worth getting hyped about this guy? I hold my breath everytime Gaudreau get's hit. I can't imagine the stress I'd feel with this guy.
