Don't know why, but I was really confident nothing would come of this, I think because for anyone who re-watched the incident it would be clear the call was a mistake and future punishment would have been rediculous.
Now that this is sorted, feeling good about tomorrow. Loved the show of emotion from the team at the end of the game in that brawl, and I think the late goal will be helpful.
Boys did what they needed to do, get the split, now time to take care of business at home and try and get the first line going by taking advantage of having last change.

There. Kypreos was right. Good call NHL. Those penalties were far too excessive against Engelland.

Same here... I think anybody who watched that game knows nobody really deserved any sort of penalty of those foolish number of game misconducts. If the refs would have called the game properly early, nothing like this would have formalized... I don't blame Engelland or the Canucks, its the refs that let it get out of hand then go overboard at the end.
Said this yesterday... if anyone should have been suspended for this, its the refs.
Still... close call. Going forward in this series, the Flames have got to be smart, Bollig and Ferland obviously have been targetted by the refs - neither of them can drop the gloves this series. For them to be effective, they have to just keep finishing their checks and crash the net...

Justice. Properly done by the league to use common sense, judgement, and video review. They can't be too happy with the officials, who mucked that up multiple ways (and had views of it all as well).
