We'll never win another Grey Cup with Dickenson calling the offensive plays. Please find another offensive coordinator!!

I can't see Hughes wanting to play for that clown. Don't do it!

Yup, DD should have consulted his crystal ball and figured out that Jorden was going to fumble that ball and that the Argos CB was going to run it all the way back for a TD.

Well, Dave had already won one as an OC. What make you think he cannot win another one as an OC again? Is there another OC better than Dave out on the market?

He is 1-3 as OC in the Grey Cup. The only win was a 20-16 win over a crappy Ti cats team. Considering how dominant the Stamps have been since 2010, it is pathetic we only have 1 grey cup over that time.

You realize they've played more than 4 games with him as OC, right?

Just curious....who would you prefer?
Also, which of the other teams have at least made it to the GC game more than DD.
Thanks in advance.

Charleston Hughes will go down as my favourite Stamp of all time. He is a great guy and very active in the community. That said, he's been fighting injuries and Huf seems to know when to part ways so hard to argue with what he does. At least in the NFL these guys got some money to sit back on. These CFL guys play for the love of the game.

You do realized that when a team made it to the championship game, there is no such thing as crappy team. In a one game to decide the champion, any team can beat any team. Hell, the Patriots had a perfect season, but lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl.
Yes, in the game against the Red Black, he had a brain fart by not utilizing the running back, and he admitted that he made a mistake. But last year, you can't blame DD on the fumble. I blamed Jorden for not securing the ball. In that late stage of the game, with your team leading, he should know ball security is the most important thing.

Also, this upcoming season is starting very much to look like a bit of a re-build/re-tool. Particularly along the O line with the Federkeil retirement. I think this leaves the Stamps with Erdos, Richards, Smith and Wilson as the only guys who played last season...no? Im missing someone Im sure, but the point remains...the Stamps are likely coming back to the pack and in a big way.

Back in 2014 we had Dan on the podcast, he was a really good, and slightly unexpected guest.

I will also state that he was one of the best fundamentals lineman that I have ever seen.

Haven't they said that about the Stamps the past few seasons?
Seeing him leave hurts a lot.. but the Stamps won games without him in the line-up. But seeing him flipped to Saskatchewan just adds insult to injury.

Maybe.
This really has the feel of something different though.
Huge changes on the O line, big fundamental change on the D-line with Hughes out (though Law and Davis outside of Turner and Johnson might be a #1 front 4 in the league). Josh Bell is gone, Shaq Richardson is gone. Need a new RB and likely a new return guy.
Joe Burnett, Tommie Campbell, Davaris Daniels, Cianti Evans, Maleki Harris, Jamar Wall, Deron Mayo... all important guys and all still unsigned.
Thats a LOT of turnover for a football team.

I expected a down year a couple seasons ago when they transitioned to a new head coach, went from Cornish to Messam and had a lot of turnover at receiver. Might have been a good amount of turnover on D as well, can't remember. I think many were expecting a down year that year.
They ended up coming one win away from setting the regular season point total record.
Of course, this year I think a lot of the West teams are better than they were that season. Winnipeg, Sask and Edmonton should all still be very tough.

We are in a 9 team league. It took them 1 win to get into the grey cup against a .500 team. If they played in the west that record would have tied them for 4th place. They were a crappy team.
With our domination over the past 6-7 years you are satisfied with only reaching the grey cup game? Anything less than a victory is disaster. I'll take anyone over DD calling plays any day of the week. Time for a change.
