Default Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2016 - Round 18

It's baaaaaaaaaaaaaack. almost like Shark Week on the Discovery Channel Calgarypuck and the Summer Prospect Ranking has become an institution for rabid Calgary hockey fans.

2013 - Sean Monahan is the top prospect (2013)

2014 - Johnny Gaudreau takes his turn (2014)

2015 - Sam Bennett come on down! (2015)

The last three years have had a prospect named first, and then make an impact right away on the NHL team. Bennett had to have surgery and mop up the OHL first, but all three were big players for the Flames right away.

Will that be the case again this year?

As per usual the vote is up to you. Some see it as most likely to play, some see it as highest ceiling, others see it as a mix of both.

Happy voting!

Round 1 - Tkachuk 83% (http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=155575 )

Tuulola again, though I'm sure he won't win.

Is this 10 or 11 straight rounds for you? I'm still not sure why you had him as a top 10 prospect.

Four, five if you include the McDonald runoff.

I also voted for Pribyl eight-nine times in a row (including runoffs). I stick with my guys.

For good or bad I guess. Your last two avatars have been Jakub Nakladal (a guy who probably won't be back with the Flames and may not play in the NHL this year) and David "will somebody hire me" Jones.

Maybe you shouldn't stick with them with such loyalty.

Edit: That's right, Pribyl's the guy you voted for way too early.

For what it's worth, if Nakladal ends up leaving, my avatar will turn into Jyrki Jokipakka.

Dube, and he should have went a whole lot higher than 18 too.

Who will then get taken from us by Vegas in the expansion draft.
Maybe you could make Wideman your avatar, see if that helps him leave sooner

Dube.

If Tuulola didn't have 3 good days at a rookie camp in July he wouldn't be close. Some serious overvaluing happening there. He was a 6th round pick for a reason.

There's plenty of guys who have gone on to have solid careers after being drafted in later rounds.

What N-E-B is trying to say is Tuulola hasn't even played a single game of hockey since the draft where he went in the 6th round.

He's not saying Tuulola won't be good, he's saying based on what our scouting staff and us as fans know. It makes no sense to have Tuulola (6th rounder) higher than Dube (2nd rounder) at this point in time.

Dube. Easy choice really.

Not sure who I'm gonna vote for after this.

Fair enough. I've never watched either of them, so I voted for Tuulola because of his size. Nothing more complicated or nefarious than that.
