Flames HPK announces Eetu Tuulola will play in the WHL this season

His Finnish club has announced that Tuulola will play in the WHL for 2016/17. Everett selected Tuulola 40th in the CHL import draft

http://www.hpk.fi/eetu-tuulola-siirt...ksi-2016-2017/

google translate

Quote:
HPK's Eetu Tuulola an attacker to use a playing contract of the option and moves to Canada for the period 2016-2017 WHL junior league reads.
Tuulola was reserved earlier in the summer NHL team Calgary Flames on numbers 156.
Tuulolan contract covers HPK with another period 2017-2018.
HPK's head coach Antti Pennanen would have loved to have been in the team Tuulolan.
- League is a good series to develop young players, not least because the player is playing men's games and is also time for training. We would be happy to have seen Eetu fighting HPK's shirt. I also believe that we would be able to support the development of Eetua towards professionalism. Eetu respect your decision and wish you all the best Eetu next season.
Edit: this Story harvested at 13:30, it WHL, the previously uutisoidun OHL instead.

This isn't that big of a deal. He's obviously playing for the Flames next year anyway.

The WHL will be so fun to watch this year. Lots of Flames prospects, and lots of potential top 10 picks.

Tuulola is a very interesting prospect, and I look forward to seeing what he can do in the WHL. Haynes had great things to say about Tuulola on the podcast. Seems very promising.

awesome news. The guys on the other side of the pond are too hard to follow, as well it being difficult to really gauge how they are progressing given the different leagues and divisions within the leagues.

With his big frame and what appears to be an excellent scoring touch, I expect him to acclimate well.

Think it was mentioned by a Flames local to Everett who expressed displeasure at being coached by Constantine. Seems as if he's a stifling defensive coach that doesn't bring out the most of the offensive qualities from his players. Not sure if there is even warrant for concern on that end.

Glad to hear, it will be easier to follow him now.

I still wish he would have been drafted by a different team with more offensive bite.
