Icon48 2016 NHL Draft

hopefully not a Fata thread, but couldn't find 2016 dedicated one

THW's The Next Ones Top 30 just released...

Excerpt from intro:
Quote:
"With the highly touted, talent laden 2015 NHL entry draft now in the rear view mirror, it’s time to switch focus to the intriguing 2016 draft class which has the makings of a deep one. There will undoubtedly be plenty of jockeying for position amongst the eligible prospects with a full season of hockey yet to be played.

The following is an early glimpse at some of the talented young guns to keep an eye out for, for the 2016 NHL Draft which will take place on June 24–25, 2016 at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York."
The Top 10 (apologies for format - easier to view on THW site, but wanted to provide a sneak peak at least)

How do the Ducks and Hawks draft 29th and 30th?

Is there no Eastern Conference representative in the final next year?

What happened to Sean Day? I thought he was going to challenge for the #1 spot.

I believe Sokolov will be transferring to the CHL as well, so he will be easier to follow.

I'll be very happy to snag the guy at 30. I assume when Edmonton drafts Matthews he'll just stay in Switzerland?

Jake Bean and Sam Steel are great names. Would be happy with either one.

Getting Sam at 9th overall would be a Steel.

Can Mathews play wing, if not the oilers are going to have a log jam at centre.

Good point, ER - because it's so far, as noted selection order just based on Power Rankings at this point - I could have swapped Lightning & Hawks though.

I hope we get the 1st overall pick... but only because someone gave us a 1st rounder for Hiller, Raymond and Engelland and then had a disastrous season while we wrap up the 30th (or 31st or 32nd) pick with our own performance.

Many great names in this draft, and familar ones as well. Tkachuk, Bellows, Nylander some of the more familiar ones. Jacob Chychrun - also son of NHLer. Like "Dante Fabbro"'s name. Some of the European and Russian one cool as well.

Bean & Steel right up there of course and from the Dub as well, Bean right here on the Hitmen. If ya haven't seen this kid play, do yourself a favour. Silky, smooth.

Sounds like a top heavy draft?

Cral, where would you rank this draft class amongst last few other classes?
